Three Boxer boys. Three matching underbites. Three chances to fall in love.

Montana, Johann, and Ludwig arrived at Prince George’s County Animal Shelter from the same address. We can only guess they’re related, but those matching faces and underbites are pretty convincing evidence!

The boys recently reunited at an adoption event, and seeing them together was a highlight. But here’s the good news: they aren’t bonded and don’t need to leave together. Each is ready to find a family of his own, and each would love a foster home while he waits.

A little about this handsome bunch:

🥊 Ludwig | A573886
About 1 year old | 49 lbs
Ludwig is a super sweet, affectionate boy who loves attention and treats. (Shh..he has a growing volunteer fan club!) Ludwig is currently receiving medication for some lingering swelling following his neuter, which was more involved because one of his testicles hadn’t descended. We’d love to see him recover and be monitored in a home where he needs to remain calm for a few days.

🥊 Johann | A573885
About 1 year old | 47 lbs
This playful, lighthearted boy is ready to make up for all that kennel time! Johann loves rolling in the grass, zooming around, and enjoying the freedom to just be a dog. Add some affection and treats, and you’ve got one happy guy.  He’s the only boy with white markings on his face.

🥊 Montana | A573884
About 4 years old | 57 lbs
Wanna play? Say less. Montana is ready to burn off some energy, have a little fun, and then soak up love from his people. He’s a fun-loving boy who’s happy to bring the playtime and the affection.

At the event, all three boys were friendly, enjoyed being around people, showed off their knowledge of sit, and happily accepted treats. They could all use a gentle reminder from time to time to keep all four paws on the floor when excitement takes over.

🏡 Now they need people of their own. Whether you’re ready to adopt or can open your home temporarily as a foster, these boys would love the chance to trade kennel time for a couch, a yard, and people to call their own.

Our foster pup Hannah ( ) is available for adoption through Prince Georges County ASD Hannah is a one year old, itty bitty pitty. She was found extremely underweight as a stray but is doing so much better. She’s great with young children, dogs, cats and bunnies. She will protect your yards from squirrels, clean your floors and counters (we are working on that) from snacks. She walks great on a leash, sleeps quietly in the crate, is house/pee-pad trained but is still working through separation anxiety. She is incredibly snuggly, playful and listens very well! She is incredibly food motivated and willing to learn how to be the bestest girl, she just needs a little patience til you reach those goals together.

PG PUP routinely receives requests from pet owners whose lives are changing drastically, and can no longer support a dog in the home. These dogs are deeply loved, and adopting them directly keeps them out of the stressful shelter environment. Please consider adopting a community dog!
