Our founder Brian Westbrook joined Prince George’s County Executive Aisha Braveboy and WTOP to talk about the amazing event happening this Saturday from 9 AM–12 PM at The Westbrook Horse Farm along with all of the excitement surrounding the 151st running of the Preakness Stakes weekend!

From horses and family fun to community, culture, and unforgettable experiences, this is a celebration you do not want to miss. Thank you to WTOP for having us as we continue creating opportunities and memories for youth and families across Prince George’s County.

Our kids attended their very first Hunter Pace a riding event that mimics the experience of a traditional fox hunt. They showed up with confidence, teamwork, and heart. 🐎🏆

Not only did they have an amazing time learning and riding together, but they also brought home FIRST PLACE! Watching these young riders grow in skill, discipline, and confidence is what it’s all about.

At the Brian Westbrook Foundation’s Westbrook Farm, kids don’t just visit horses… they learn how to care for them, work with them, and grow because of them.

Participants will:
• Groom and handle horses
• Help with barn chores & lesson prep
• Assist younger riders
• Learn teamwork, responsibility, and confidence
• Be part of real farm life — not a petting zoo

This is hands-on horsemanship and life skills in one place. By the end, they won’t just know horses… they’ll carry themselves differently.

That’s a wrap on an incredible season with our Junior HorseMasters 🎄🐴
From learning horsemanship and responsibility to building confidence, teamwork, and friendships, these kids showed up week after week and gave it their all.

We ended the season the best way we know how together, grateful, and full of joy.

Thank you to our instructors, volunteers, families, and supporters who make this program possible. We can’t wait to saddle up again next season.
