The future of GIS at the Brian Westbrook Foundation is bigger than learning how to read a map it’s about teaching young people how to understand their world and use technology to improve it.

We see a future where students use GIS to study our farm, monitor land and wildlife, map trails, explore environmental changes and solve real world problems. These experiences can introduce them to future careers in technology, agriculture, environmental science, urban planning and emergency management.

By combining technology with hands on learning, we’re opening new doors to curiosity, confidence and opportunity.

🎒📚 Ready for school. Ready to succeed!

BWF was proud to donate backpacks filled with school supplies to District Elder James H. Plummer Sr. and the True Apostolic Church, helping local students start the school year prepared and ready to learn.

Every backpack is more than supplies it’s one less barrier and one more opportunity for a young person to succeed. 💙

A huge thank you to Deonte Sewell , instructor at Overlook Farms, for taking the time to come out and speak with our students! 🐴👏

Our students had the opportunity to learn from Deonte’s experience, ask questions, and hear firsthand about working with horses, and the dedication it takes to grow in the equestrian world.

We’re grateful for professionals like Deonte who are willing to share their knowledge and help inspire the next generation of horsemen and horsewomen.
