We are currently recruiting for our next Operation Tohidu and still have openings. It is a virtual/in-person hybrid retreat. The virtual component starts the week of 11 JAN 23 and the in-person will be held 9 FEB - 12 FEB at our retreat center in Maryland. Veterans, please see the below information about an amazing opportunity coming up soon!

Hi everyone,

I am a University of Florida Arts in Medicine graduate student who will be conducting an IRB-approved research study in late January/early February 2022. The goal of the study is to explore if theatre activities such as improvisation and storytelling enhance social connection for Veterans. The research study will consist of a free virtual theatre workshop and a focus group interview. Both activities will occur in a single session and will take place over Zoom. The total length of the study session is two hours. All data will be kept confidential.

Potential benefits: experiencing joy, creativity, self-expression, fun, and positive distraction. Participation may contribute to helping other Veterans and may inform future arts programming.

Recruitment: I am currently looking for U.S. Veterans who are at least 18 years old, fluent in English, and have access to technology (i.e., Zoom). Attached you will find an advertisement flyer and participant information sheet. Please review both of these documents carefully.

A huge thank you to everyone who responded and/or shared our previous post regarding the upcoming Operation Tohidu! Because of you, we were able to fill the last couple of slots within a day. The response was so great that we decided to run another retreat the first week of February.
