Yesterday we hosted our 1st Breakfast with Santa event. We decorated, planned activities, thought of a tasty menu, had an Author come in and read her latest book AND was able to get a visit in by the big guy him SANTA CLAUS. Everyone e in attendance had a fantastic time and we look forward to doing more activities in the community.

Today members of our club was able to donate 15 children’s comfort kits to the University of Maryland Medical hospital domestic violence center. The kits will be given to victims who come in with children.

This past Saturday members of Area 2 got together to fellowship, brainstorm ideas and work on a community service project with the group a Solider’s Hand. Thank you to the Montgomery County club for hosting.

Our members' reach goes further than Altrusa. On Tuesday, September 19, one of our members, Mrs. Ida Fletcher was reconfirmed as a member of the Advisory Committee on Aging for Prince George's County. The Committee supports and advocates the promotion of choice, independence, and dignity for all PG members. Congratulations Ida.

We believe that everyone is able to make a positive difference to the world around them. We can each volunteer our time, or donate our money, towards worthy causes. Our individual efforts are small, but they matter.
