Horses come to Leighton Farm to enjoy transitioning and training. Clark’s training techniques are proactive, using the horse's previous experiences as a springboard to teach them to integrate into a new life off the track. One thing that sets TPR, Inc. apart from other placement programs is that it is a vehicle for thoroughbred horsemen to take responsibility for their own retiring racehorses. Wha

t is happening is a cooperative effort on the backstretch by owners and trainers to get their horses into the best possible hands. Too many times the responsibility falls on people outside the industry, when it should be borne primarily by us, with their support.

We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support for Magic's care. While Magic is improving, she still requires ongoing medication and care. We remain hopeful that she'll continue to heal and return to being the bright, happy horse we saw earlier this spring.

When Magic was rescued, she was in rough shape, but TPR has given her a second chance. Over the past few months, Magic has faced new medical challenges, including treatment for a swollen teat and complications from suspected hindgut and gastric ulcers. Her veterinary care and medications have already cost nearly $6,000, with ongoing monthly expenses ahead. TPR is committed to giving Magic the happy, healthy life she deserves, but we can't do it alone.

We’ve been thinking a lot about what a great day we had for our first edition of The Mulligan Cup held at Renditions Golf Course. A BIG CONGRATS to our first place foursome made up of Scott Parker, Mark Parker, Matt Johnson and Scott Johnston (pictured here). Thanks to them and all of the golfers who helped make this a success! Scenes from the first annual Mulligan Cup at Renditions Golf Course! A HUGE thank you to the players, our sponsors and our wonderful volunteers for making this happen! Also, big thanks to Dave and the Renditions staff for helping to make this a success. We were blessed with beautiful weather and incredible supporters today. Oh… and Jed did a great job greeting players and being an awesome ambassador for OTTBs - thanks to Maggie! We hope everyone had a great time and thank you all for your support of the horses!
