Grand rising FB friends and supporters. I am reposting a message from an awesome woman of God. I agree with her and I pray that many of you see the condition of this world and get busy telling someone about the One and only true God, King and Supreme Being!

“I don't want any confrontation on this post. Just getting my feelings out. If you don't agree just pass this by........ I'm going to vent here...I believe we all have the right to worship as we please, but I also know that our country, the United States of America was founded on Christian principles. I believe we should be proud of our country. A quote is a quote. It should not be amended or watered down. The news should not be afraid to use someone’s quote that refers to God.
On the "Today Show", one of the wives of one of the Navy Seals killed along with the US ambassador in Libya was being interviewed. He asked her what she would say to her children about their dad and how she would want them to remember him. Her answer, and I quote, "His love for Christ", and then continued on with a few other things. Throughout the day and on the MSN homepage, replaying the story, they have edited the "Love of Christ" part out. Why? Because using the word Christ might offend someone!
Well now, it's my turn to be offended! I'm offended that they would edit it out. Offended that Christians are asked to tread lightly so as not to offend someone of another religion. This man loved his country and loved God and gave his life for both. This Founding Principle is actually embedded in our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” “If we ever forget that we're one nation under GOD, then we will be a nation gone under.” ~Ronald Reagan

I hope every Christian, every Christ-follower, who is offended will copy this and paste it to their status....
"But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven" (NKJV) ~ Matthew 10:33 ~

Blessings and gratitude to corporal Pierre Boone a police officer at PGC District 3 who hosted a boxing tournament for youth he coaches through the PAL ( Police Athletics League) program. Families and community together with those in blue who are the "first to serve" demonstrating that our children deserve the investment of our time and attention. Connect & Serve was there happy to support.

Grans rising FB family. I came across this post this morning. I guess it's still making its rounds. My followers keep encouraging me to post post post. Pray for me. I don't have enough hours in a day. But getting the message out about loving God, ourselves and each other is the message. All day everyday!! Amen.

Watch your words and be kind because words don't rewind! What a thoughtful reminder of who we should be as humans. We have the power to offer love and support! So use that power of love to demonstrate the goodness of who we are and should strive to be!

Connect & Serve appreciate all the support given to us: volunteers, donors and prayer partners. There is still much work to do as we navigate the changes on the way we do our humanity. As we press on and thank God each day, we remain hopeful in our community and the connections we are making to serve and support families, schools and our communities. Be a part of the work to serve and make life better for someone else. We all have something to offer because we all have talents gifts and skills that are uniquely our own. So shine!
