Camp Class of 25’ 🏳️‍⚧️ PHEW. We’re still processing our beautiful weekend together. We are so very grateful for every campgoer, retreat leader, presenter and healer who gave your hearts, spirits and time to be with us for TRANScend Retreat. Thank you for sharing those gifts with one another! We hope you were able to rest, breathe in joy, and build new community. To be together at a time when our very existence is under constant threat, is so powerful and needed.

All our love to our beautiful squirrels, thank you for coming home with us. 💘🐿️

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO 🔖 for squirrels attending TRANScend, sharing our community agreements:

We gather here with respect, care and love for each other, the land and all beings. As stewards of this space, we ask everyone to honor the following agreements:

🤎 Zero tolerance for harm. Harassment, discrimination, or violence of any kind will not be tolerated.

🤎 Consent always. This is a s*x-positive, body-positive space. S*x is not permitted in public spaces and we expect consent between all parties sharing a private space.

🤎 S*xual harassment will not be tolerated in any form. This includes but is not limited to unwanted touch, advances, comments, fetishization, or the s*xualization of others’ bodies, gender expressions, or identities.

🤎 This retreat center’s healing and we want to honor attendees wherever they are on their sobriety journeys — please refrain from using substances or alcohol in shared spaces. Alcohol may be consumed privately in your room. Ma*****na and ci******es are limited to designated areas. No other substances are permitted.

🤎 Masks indoors are encouraged (but not required). PPE will be provided.Care for the land. Keep your belongings with you, put trash in bins, and leave spaces cleaner than you found them.

🤎 No pets, including emotional support animals. We love fur babies, but the retreat center is for humans only.

If these agreements are not respected, we will kindly ask you to leave the grounds. 👈🏽

This year, we are focused on cultivating community leadership, tapping into healing joy, and reconnecting with the land. Coming home to ourselves, each other, and the land that holds us. Ready to apply? Here’s what to know:

💐 We’re still seeking session proposals for this year’s TRANScend Retreat that speak to themes of “Healing Community Joy & Reconnection to the Earth.” We welcome proposals that are rooted in lived experience, cultural practice, and collective care. To support your proposal, we’ve outlined three core offering tracks: Joy as Resistance, Embodied Wellness and Earth-Based Wisdom. 🌙

🚨 We are just 30 days away from TRANScend Retreat 2025. 🏳️‍⚧️

Today we’re sharing a 5–slide update on where things stand:

This year, the need is greater than ever. While we’ve secured our venue and travel for 15 participants through the Muhlaysia Booker Travel Fund, more than 75% of attendees are requesting full scholarships. That’s at least 50 people.

For the first time in our history, many of our longtime partners cannot support us due to devastating budget cuts. Without immediate support, we may have to make heartbreaking decisions about the retreat.

Calling all trans, GNC, and nonbinary healers, facilitators, and creatives! ✨ We’re seeking session proposals for this year’s TRANScend Retreat that speak to themes of “Healing Community Joy & Reconnection to the Earth.”

We welcome proposals that are rooted in lived experience, cultural practice, ans collective care. To support your proposal, we’ve outlined three core offering tracks:

💫 Joy as Resistance: centers emotional healing, joy, and creativity through workshops that may include letter-writing rituals, collaborative art-making, storytelling, or intergenerational dialogue.

🌿 Embodied Wellness: welcomes facilitators offering somatic, spiritual, and energetic healing modalities, including sound healing, breathwork, intuitive readings, yoga, and meditation.

🌌 Earth-Based Wisdom: draws on land-based knowledge and movement practices—like nature walks, water-based healing, grounding rituals, dance, or stargazing—as a path to collective restoration.

Selected facilitators will receive a complimentary retreat ticket (lodging, meals + stipend included). You must identify as Trans, GNC, or Nonbinary to apply.

After a brief pause, we’re coming back home—to a more intimate gathering and a weekend focused on cultivating community leadership, tapping into healing joy, and reconnecting with the land. Coming home to ourselves, each other, and the land that holds us.

Ready to apply? Here’s what to know:

🔍 To help build a more safe, affirming, and intentional community space, all applicants must participate in a 1:1 interview with a retreat team member as part of the selection process.

Join us on May 31st for La Vida de la P**a es Bella—a celebration of resistance, joy, and the legacy of s*x worker organizing. As part of the *xworkerfest, this special day features a film screening, community panel, and mini-march at the from 3–6PM.

We believe in honoring the voices, stories, and leadership of s*x workers in our community—and this is a space to do just that.
