Sunday, September 27th 10AM at Gillespie Park - N. Sycamore Ave Clifton Heights, PA 19018

Community members will have the opportunity to join K9 Radar, Officer AJ Bateman of the Community Affairs Unit Upper Darby Police Department and members of the Upper Darby Township Recreation on an approximate 2 mile walk from Gillespie Park, across the pedestrian foot bridge, along the creek to Lindburgh Bridge and back to Gillespie Park.

Radar isn’t your typical K9 officer, he is a facility dog. He has been specifically trained to be a bridge to the community and to help calm and comfort those in need. Radar keeps busy by providing in-house stress reduction for officers, easing the trauma of crime victims or witnesses, taking part in mentoring programs, summer camps and community engagement events.
