The BHCWA workshop is being held as a part of our annual Community Day! Come grab a rain barrel and then enjoy our display of local vendors and organizations, as well as the Soulicious food truck and kids' activities!

Join Bertsch-Hokendauqua-Catasauqua Watershed Association and Penn State Extension - Northampton County for the "Rain Barrel Workshop: Build Your Own" on August 22 at Wayne Grube Park and discover the many benefits of installing one on your property. Led by Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards, this event offers the opportunity to not only learn about the advantages of rain barrels but also construct your own. Whether you are keen on conserving water, controlling stormwater, or nurturing your lawn and garden, a rain barrel can make a significant difference. During the workshop, you will construct your own rain barrel and delve into topics such as stormwater management, best practices for homeowners, the anatomy of a rain barrel, maintenance tips, and how to properly connect it to your downspout.
