Pull up a seat at The Big Table! πŸ’›

The Upper Arlington Community Foundation is proud to host a Big Table conversation, a program of The Columbus Foundation, on Tuesday, September 29th from 10:30 AM to noon at the Amelita Mirolo Barn.

This year's theme, Cultivating Healthy Communities, invites neighbors to come together to connect, listen, and reflect on both mental well-being and what it means to build a healthier community.

There's something powerful about watching a community come together when it matters most. Recent storms tested Upper Arlington, but the response has been nothing short of remarkable, from neighbors checking in on one another to the around-the-clock efforts of countless crews, organizations, and City staff working to get us back on our feet.

The Upper Arlington Community Foundation is deeply grateful to everyone who has given their time, energy, and care to help our community recover.

As cleanup continues, please keep checking on one another, especially those who may still be without power, and stay safe around downed trees, hanging limbs, and debris.

Were you financially impacted by storm damage? Learn more about the Foundation's Good Neighbor Fund emergency storm relief and eligibility here: https://uacommunityfoundation.com/impact/the-good-neighbor-fund/

This has been a difficult week for our community, but thanks to the efforts of fellow residents, surrounding communities, AEP crews, the Schools and Libraries, community churches, local businesses, and of course the team of dedicated staff at the City, we have been able to make significant progress on the path back to normal. My sincerest thanks to everyone who has been and continues to be part of these extensive cleanup efforts.

Here is what we still need from everyone: Please continue checking on each other, especially if you know someone who is still without power. Stay informed by checking our website and watching for updates as we continue our efforts to return our community to β€œbusiness as usual.” If you live on a street with significant debris, please keep your car off the road, if you can, to allow service trucks to access and remove debris. Most importantly, continue to be safe. Downed trees, hanging limbs and chainsaws can all be dangerous.

With the utmost gratitude,

Steve Schoeny
