They were doing fine. They had jobs, a bit of savings. Just a normal life.

But, when a family member in another town needs ongoing help, you do what you have to. In this instance, it meant relocating to a new area.

When they got there, they couldn't find jobs. The money got really tight. And when the mother reached out to their son's new school, the counselor took action and reached out to A Lot of Good.

When the first gas cards arrived, they could finally fill up their car with gas.
When the food cards arrived, they were able to get much needed groceries.
And when the shopping vouchers arrived, new school clothes for their son was a reality.

Instead of becoming a statistic, they were able to maintain their family.

How did this happen?

Because someone committed $6.58 per day ($2400) to cover first year costs in the There Is Hope Project. Now, the family can get up to $6600 in benefits over a 3 year period.

Earlier this spring, you learned about Steven — 32 hours — and the promise that started everything.

You learned about how Sandy Cappelli founded A Lot of Good, Inc. and designed it around a thrift store from day one.

You learned about “There Is Hope”, the structured three-year program supporting 44 families in the Inland Empire right now. Twenty families were added this year.

But there are so many more families that need help.

Today we continue working toward raising $72,000 by December 31, 2026 — enough to fund 30 new There Is Hope families starting in January 2027.
