Barnabas Group Inland Empire We bring diverse value to local and global ministries, through members who freely use their time, talent and touch to assist Christ-centered ministries.

Since 2000, God has used The Barnabas Group (TBG) make a powerful impact on ministries, around the corner and around the globe. In contrast to great individuals and organizations who generously support ministries primarily with their checkbook, TBG realizes ministry-minded people also want to provide more when given the opportunity to use their time, talent, touch (network) or financial resources to help ministries who reflect their own passions. The result: A truly dynamic organization, staying fresh, exciting, and highly relevant to its members, ministries and communities it serves. The Inland Empire chapter, started in 2012, is the newest member of TBG outreach to Christian marketplace leaders.

On September 1, the three 2027 Ministry of the Year nominees each told the room what their ministry is building. First in our recap is Lee Anne Gridley of Young Life Inland Empire.

About two years ago, Young Life was praying about where to start new work in the Inland Empire. In Yucaipa, a mom who came to Christ as a high schooler through Young Life in Los Angeles had been praying since her son was born for Young Life to reach her town. A few emails later, the two prayers met.

Her son started middle school this fall with a Young Life leader praying for him.

The 2027 Ministry of the Year will be named in the room on Wednesday, November 11 at Benedict Castle in Riverside.

Assemblyman Gonzalez served 21 years in the United States Marine Corps, with multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3, then answered a calling to ministry and served the community as a pastor.

Join us Wednesday, November 11 at Benedict Castle in Riverside. You'll meet ministries from across the Inland Empire over dinner, and we'll name the 2027 Ministry of the Year.

Some news from our 2026 Ministry of the Year.

Love Life is launching Love Life University, a new arm of the ministry built for the college campus. It takes the church engagement model Love Life has already proven and brings it to students, and the first fruit is already showing.

We're proud to see where Love Life is taking this next.

"Seeing business leaders live out their faith is nothing short of the Living Word." For Eric Blum, what The Barnabas Group makes possible is monthly connection with marketplace Partners — strategic counsel and peers who sharpen one another. Iron sharpening iron. → iebarnabas.org/go/stories

Leading a ministry can feel isolating. For Wilita Sanguma, Founder & Executive Director of Lobiko Initiative, the IE Barnabas Executive Directors Forum changed that — a space to learn alongside other Christ-centered leaders, sharpen strategy, and see the blind spots that are hard to catch alone. In three years, Lobiko's reach grew from about 7,000 lives to more than 15,000. → iebarnabas.org/go/stories

A week alone in a hotel room with a journal, and the answer that came back was not the one Eric Goodman went looking for.

Three profitable companies. Five hundred homes for adults and children with developmental disabilities. Thirty nine years in business. And somewhere inside all of it, the businesses had quietly become the thing worth living for.

What changed afterwards is easy to measure. One day a week on site. No office. No reserved parking space. And one ordinary Monday when thirteen managers went round the table and nobody needed anything, which is where the crying starts.

The full keynote from our Q3 Gathering at Top Golf is up now. Twenty three minutes.

We'd love to have you with us this Veterans Day.

Our Q4 Gathering is Wednesday, November 11 at Benedict Castle in Riverside, and it's the night we close out the year together. Assemblymember Jeff Gonzalez is keynoting, which feels right for the day. Assemblymember Gonzalez spent 21 years in the Marine Corps with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3.

It's also the night we announce the 2027 Ministry of the Year, and we've been sitting on that name since September.

Registration opens Monday, September 28.

Three ministries. One ballot. Tomorrow night.

Young Life Inland Empire, Engage To Go Ministries, and Likewise Worship each make their case, and the room decides the 2027 Ministry of the Year. Ballots are paper and cast in person, so being there is the only way to have a say. The winner receives a $1,000 grant and a year of Barnabas Partner support, announced at our November gathering.

Before the vote: worship led by Likewise Worship, who are also on the ballot. Keynote from Eric L. Goodman, CEO of MVS, Inc., on moving from success to significance. Matthew Hanson of Aion Path. Byron Aguirre of Love Life Riverside on his year as our Ministry of the Year 2026.

Doors open at 5:00 at Top Golf Ontario, in the conference room. Program runs 5:45 to 8:15. Still no golf. Business casual, nothing to bring, dinner is included, and you can bring up to three guests.

If you have not claimed a seat, tonight is the time. Link in the first comment 👇
