For fifty years the Kiwanis Club of Upland-Foothill has been a premier service organization in the City of Upland. We meet each Wednesday morning for fun and fellowship, and to sign up to participate in important local projects. Members of Upland-Foothi

ll Kiwanis, as we are commonly known, are proud of our ‘hands-on’ tradition, evident in over 55 local projects each year. In 1965 the Upland-Foothill Kiwanis Club spun off from the Kiwanis Club of Upland. Then, in 2012, Kiwanis of Upland joined Upland-Foothill to better fulfill our common mission, serving the children of Upland. Together we now number close to 70 men and women of highly diverse backgrounds and abilities. We are an ever-growing and vital, non-political, inclusive group of sharing, caring members known for being positive, fun, and irreverent, while being very serious about service. The work and contribution of Upland-Foothill Kiwanis is evident everywhere in our city, from the flagpoles in front of the Madonna of the Trail Statue and the YMCA, to the initiation of the American Flags on Euclid and Armed Service Member Banners on Mountain and Campus. We also provide the annual All-City Elementary School Track Meet, Easter Egg Hunt in Memorial Park, Summer Concerts and Movies in Magnolia Park, Pre-School vision and hearing screening, trash containers on Euclid Ave. Parkway, Senior Citizens Christmas Party, Shoes for Kids Project (giving away over 450 pairs of shoes to needy Upland students each year), Young Citizen Awards and Scholarships, Chili Cook-off to support Inland Valley Recovery, Elementary School Reading Program, working with local churches to provide food for hungry children on weekends, etc. We also sponsor K-Kids, Builders, and Key Clubs at local Elementary, Junior High and High Schools, where kids learn leadership skills and community responsibility. And we are the ones who are always there to cook great pancakes for local charity events. We are always interested in new projects, which is the job of standing Committees to assess and take to the Board for approval. Annual fund-raising events include our Annual Classic Golf Tournament each Fall, and the Family Miniature Golf Tournament each Summer. All money raised and time donated comes from the generous support of the community and our members. We always welcome donations from civic-minded individuals and businesses. All money raised and all donated items go into the Upland-Foothill Kiwanis Foundation and are directly returned to the community. We thank the entire community for the many, many years of continuous and generous support of our many projects and events. Our seventy members invite you to attend a meeting as our guest. We meet at 7:00 AM at the Landecena Family Community Building on San Bernardino Road, just East of San Antonio Community Hospital. We are Upland-Foothill Kiwanis, where we have great fun helping in Upland. (Did I mention that we really do have fun?).
