Last week, Foothill Family Shelter held our final L.E.A.R.N. session (in-person family workshop) of the year, and our incredible childcare volunteers made sure it was a memorable one for the children in our program!

Despite the 100-degree weather outside, our amazing volunteers managed to bring the cozy feeling of fall right into our little office! From festive autumn decorations and pumpkin painting to sweet treats and special goodies, they created a fun-filled experience for our kiddos! Every child left with hands full of goodies, big smiles, and special memories!

We are beyond grateful for our wonderful childcare volunteers, who consistently go above and beyond to make our children feel loved, celebrated, and valued. Their creativity, generosity, and dedication remind us that it doesn't take a big space or perfect weather to create something truly special.

To our childcare volunteers: thank you for bringing the magic of fall to our families and for the love you pour into our program throughout the year! 🍁🍂🎃

BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS 🎁 Thank you once again to Genesis Community Church, who continues to come through monthly for our families with birthday gifts!

For one family’s recent birthday request, Genesis rallied together to purchase a wagon for a mom with a toddler and a new baby on the way. This thoughtful gift will make outings a little easier and give this growing family more opportunities to get outside, explore, and simply enjoy time together.

From purchasing bikes for our children to providing gifts like this wagon, Genesis continues to give our families opportunities to enjoy some of life’s simple pleasures—a bike ride, a walk to the park, a family outing, or an afternoon spent together outdoors.

Month after month, Genesis Community Church pours their hearts, time, generosity, and dedication into the families of Foothill Family Shelter. We are incredibly blessed by this continued partnership and so grateful for the joy they help bring to our families. 💜

COMMUNITY PARTNER PUMPKIN POWER! 🎃
We are incredibly grateful to Trader Joe’s Claremont for generously donating 28 pumpkins to the families in our program!

A special thank you to Alexa, the Donation Coordinator, who was wonderful to work with and made the entire donation process smooth, professional, and welcoming.

Thanks to this generous donation, and partnered with our board member Daisy's donation of pumpkin carving kits, our families get to enjoy a festive activity together, continue a beloved fall tradition, and create special memories with their children—all at no expense to them!

Community partners come in many forms and help make these meaningful moments possible for our families. Thank you for supporting Foothill Family Shelter and helping bring a little extra joy to our families this fall!
