Mind Over Land Our Mission:To positively impact Veteran lives through outdoor exploration. Founded by Vets for Vets. Tax ID 47-5612413
501(c)3

We know, from experience ourselves, that veterans can often have difficult times readjusting to civilian life after long deployments or upon exiting military service. Mind Over Land seeks to work with veterans to get them outside to help with readjustment and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow veterans in the great outdoors through vehicle-based adventure. To that end Mind Over Land was founded by Veterans to help Veterans. Simply put, we are Veterans ourselves and want to give back to those we served with.

Overlanding is always a pretty hobby, but it’s always nicer during fall. The crisp air and the colorful leaves make the scene all the better to enjoy.

You do not have to talk about it to start working on it. The first step for a lot of us was just leaving the house. The trail rewards the first step. The fire rewards the second.

When two veterans figure out they served at the same base ten years apart, the conversation gets twice as long. Same chow hall. Same drill instructor. Same first impression of the local town. The world stays small in the best way.

Kevin round two. There is a thing trip leads do that nobody sees. The phone call after the trip. The check in with the veteran who got quiet on the last night. Kevin makes those calls and we are thankful to have him on our team.

The hardest part of getting better is admitting you might want to. We will not push that on you. We will leave the seat open by the fire and the radio on. When you are ready, we are here.
