Cheese Days is coming up, and with it some great opportunities for our chapter members! 🧀

📄Staff and vend at our booth!
Members have the opportunity to vend their products at our chapter's booth this year! If vending, we ask that you volunteer for a 2hr staffing shift to help cover the booth during the weekend. If you're interesting in staffing or vending, please contact John Peck at [email protected]

🎉Walk or ride the chapter float in the Cheese Days Parade!
Our chapter will have a float in this year's Parade, with plenty of room for people to ride or walk alongside. You're welcome to bring friends and family - the more the merrier! We will have WFU stickers for those walking to hand out. If you're interested in being in the parade, please contact Alicia Gasaway at [email protected]

Come join together for our chapter’s Annual Meeting, including woodfired homestead pizzas, potluck, Chapter Policy suggestions for WFU convention Special Orders of Business, and our board election. Enjoy live music and local beverage tasting and try John & Molly’s new pizza oven creations. Please bring a potluck salad or dessert to share and your chair. We hope to see you there!

Our third Homesteading Class is an Herbal First Aid Make 'n Take! 🌿🩹

Participants are welcome to come before class to enjoy an herb walk led by Monica. Discover herbs commonly used in first aid such as comfrey, St. John’s Wort, plaintain, bee balm, calendula, and yarrow. Monica will share herb facts and uses and lead the class in making your own salve (or two!) to take home.

Date & Time: Saturday, July 8, 10:30am-Noon (Herb walk at 10am for those interested).
Fee: $25 plus $10 materials fee. Limit 12 people.
Location: Bellebrook Botanicals, W3954 Vista Lane, Belleville.

Register soon for the second class in our Homesteading Class Series! 🧀

Join Ian Kozaczek, a licensed Wisconsin cheesemaker and cheesemonger, as he facilitates a demonstration on the fundamentals of cheesemaking at home. Learn about the cheesemaking process in a fun, informal group environment. The class will offer taste-tests, pairing suggestions, and opportunities to connect with fellow cheese enthusiasts.

Date & Time: Saturday, June 27, 2-3:30pm.
Fee: $25 plus $5 material fee. Limit 12 people.

Learn to make beeswax food wrappers and leave with a set of three in three different sizes. 🐝 A variety of cloth patterns will be available for selection.

We had a wonderful event this past weekend at Doudlah Farms in Evansville learning about their organic farming operation and biodynamics. The weather couldn't have been better for spending the

Bring yourself, a dish to pass, and a chair - we'd love for you to join us this Saturday!

Our April chapter event on Saturday, April 25th from 2-5pm will be held at Doudlah Farms (10339 N. Wilder Rd, Evansville WI). We will have an organic farm tour, hear about biodynamic preps, get to taste local and organically grown products, discuss chapter business, and more! Everyone is welcome to attend!
