The Anchored in Recovery Team reconnected with nature by joining the City of Framingham Parks & Recreation Department for their annual Pumpkins in the Park at Cushing Memorial Park on November 3rd. We played games, visited with the Framingham Police Department, the Framingham Fire Department (and even sat in the fire truck!) and recalled the simplicity of childhood memories having fun by disconnecting from electronics. It was a beautiful, sunny day and by chance, we were excited to witness a beautiful piece of art: a heart in tribute to our friends in the .nation.

We look forward to joining more events with the City of Framingham and thank them for organizing a great outing at no cost to be enjoyed by all - especially those of us who remain kids at heart!🎃🍂

It's always a pleasure, and never a frightening experience, to join with our brothers and sisters at the Taunton Peer Recovery Center for their Halloween Fright Night on Wednesday, October 28th. Outreach Coordinator "Enter Flame" (an homage to rapper ) Director Bad Bunny Bridget Nicholson and members competed in musical chairs, mummy wrapping and the spirit of the holiday with friends, Nightmare Before Christmas' Jack, Sally, and Oogie Boggie, and many more dressed in fabulous costumes. We enjoy the welcoming spirit of our friends from many partnered recovery centers 💛
This years multi center collaboration hosted at Taunton Recovery Center was a Hit!!!

The AIR Team was pleased to join forces with Keeping Worcester Warm and for their first of three events helping bring warmth to the community of Worcester this winter, sorting clothing donations by size and gender to prepare for their Main Community Event at the Worcester Common on November 7th. Outreach Coordinator Jenn and two AIR members traveled to the in Worcester and enjoyed meeting with other volunteers in the spirit of community outreach and giving back to others in need. Thank you to Keeping Worcester Warm for allowing us to participate - we will see you tonight at the Blessing Bag Assembly!

There are no words to express how thankful we are for the generosity and kindness of our friends and family members in the Redrum MC Nipmuc Chapter. They honored AIR Framingham by holding a benefit ride to help us in our mission to help those in recovery and seeking recovery from substance use on Sunday, October 25th, providing all in attendance with a spiritual uplifting unlike anything we have ever experienced. A special thank you to Loose Braids for his support and powerful presence and our friends at - Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery for joining us in this special day. We are all warriors in our own way: the indigenous people in their fight to preserve their culture and rights, and in peer recovery in our fight to help those seeking wellness through recovery. It's a beautiful partnership and mutual respect of passions we look forward to nurturing in the months and years to come.

AIR was honored to join with the W-Number Mass Ave Project on Friday, October 23rd at Ramsay Park in Boston for a powerful event connecting people to services and showing Mass Ave that collectively, we care and are paying attention. Partnering with we provided Naloxone, hygiene kits, bottled water and testing strips along with fun items like stress balls and beaded necklaces. Our fall-themed table was enjoyed by families and residents of the Mass Ave area where we were greeted warmly with handshakes, smiles and many thanks. We look forward to an ongoing partnership with Matthew and the W-Number - thank you for recognizing the importance of community engagement.

AIR will be closed on Saturday, 10/24 as we gear up for the Redrum MC Nipmuc Chapter benefit ride on Sunday 10/25 in Grafton. Many thanks to our indigenous friends and family members for honoring us with this beautiful event to benefit our center. The proceeds will allow us further our mission by helping those touched by substance use and addiction. We are honored and deeply grateful for your support. AIR, and our community, thanks you. 🪶
