His Work in Preparing the Church for the Return of Jesus Christ

One of the distinguishing emphases of this book is its focus on the work of the Holy Spirit in the last days. Scripture reveals that the closing period of history will be marked by increasing darkness, widespread deception, intense spiritual conflict, and unprecedented opportunities for the proclamation of the gospel. At the same time, the Holy Spirit continues His faithful ministry of calling sinners to repentance, strengthening the Church, producing holiness within believers, empowering gospel witness, granting discernment, and preparing a spotless Bride for her coming Bridegroom.
The Holy Spirit's ministry has always been Christ-centered. He does not draw attention to Himself but glorifies the Son of God. His work is to reveal Christ, exalt Christ, conform believers to the image of Christ, and prepare the Church for the day when faith will become sight. Every chapter of this book ultimately points to Jesus Christ, for the Holy Spirit delights to magnify the Savior whom the Father has sent into the world.
This volume is written for every follower of Christ who desires deeper understanding of God's Word. Whether you are a new believer seeking a biblical foundation, a student of Scripture pursuing deeper theological understanding, a pastor or teacher preparing to instruct others, or a mature Christian longing to walk more faithfully with the Lord, it is my prayer that this book will encourage you to love the Scriptures more deeply, trust the promises of God more confidently, and depend upon the Holy Spirit more fully in every area of life and ministry.
As you read, approach this book with humility, prayer, and a willingness to let the Word of God shape your understanding. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Scriptures, deepen your love for Christ, strengthen your faith, and produce within you the fruit that glorifies God. The greatest evidence of the Spirit's work is not only knowledge about Him but a life increasingly transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
May the Lord use this book to deepen your understanding of His Spirit, strengthen your confidence in His Word, and awaken within you a greater longing for the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Until that day, may we walk in the Spirit, proclaim the gospel with boldness, persevere in holiness, and join the prayer of the Church:
"Even so, come, Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:20, KJV)
