ATTENTION:

Effective immediately, all dogs surrendered to our rescue must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations before they can be accepted into our program.

As a foster-based rescue, we rely entirely on donations to cover veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, training, boarding, food, supplies, and other expenses necessary to prepare dogs for successful adoption. Requiring owners to complete these basic responsibilities before surrender helps ensure our limited resources can be used to save more dogs in need.

If you are unable to have your dog altered or vaccinated before surrender, we may consider acceptance if you are willing to make a donation to cover the associated costs. This allows us to provide the necessary care without taking resources away from dogs already in our program.

This policy is about accountability, responsible pet ownership, and the safety and well-being of the dogs we serve. By working together, we can continue helping bully breeds in need while ensuring our rescue remains sustainable for the future.

🚨 SOS NEGLECT CASE! 🚨

In Search of a Foster or Adopter Immediately!!

Meet Donkey ❤️

Due to the sensitive nature of this case, we cannot share many details at this time, as he is part of an active investigation. What we can tell you is that Donkey deserves a safe place to land while his future is being determined.

💔 5-year-old neutered male

💔 Loves people once he feels safe and learns to trust

💔 Appears to do well with cats

💔 Due to a previous tracheal injury, Donkey has a damaged trachea and must always be walked on a harness—he cannot wear or be handled with a collar or leash around his neck

💔 Because of his medical restrictions, we are currently unable to safely dog-test him, though he can walk calmly past other dogs in public without issue

💔 Has never been evaluated around children

💔 Has a minor bite history from over a year ago that occurred during a dog altercation

💔 Currently receiving treatment for skin allergies and is healing beautifully

Donkey has already endured neglect, medical challenges, and more uncertainty than any dog should ever have to face. Despite everything, he still wants love, affection, and a person of his own. He deserves a chance to heal in a safe home instead of continuing to wait and wonder what comes next.

🚨 We urgently need a foster or adopter willing to give this sweet boy the second chance he desperately deserves. Please share his story far and wide. The right person is out there—we just need to find them.

Please help us bust him out of the shelter so that he can begin a real healing process where he doesn’t have to keep looking over his shoulder to see if he is safe or not.

Jax is completely breaking my heart 💔

I am starting to become really worried about his future.

He hasn’t had 1 single person even apply to help us with him and that feels really discouraging to be honest.

We have went through a lot of s**t to save his life and keep going through a lot more to keeping saving it.

When will it end? He’s been sitting in a foster home for a year. When will he get his happy ending?

He doesn’t have to time to keep hanging out with his foster family. Their time is up with him and we still have nowhere for him to go. They are leaving for Mississippi and will not be back for 2 months!

Could you at least hang on to him for two months? I would hate doing that to him because he just needs a home with someone who will say yes and mean it!!

Please help in whatever way that you can for Jax!

Meet Jax — a 4–5-year-old, 100 lb sweetheart with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy absolutely LOVES playing in the water and having water gun fights! 💦 He’s currently living with a foster family who loves him dearly and wants nothing more than to see him settled into his forever home.

🚨 We only have TWO WEEKS to find Jax a new foster or adopter. His current foster family will be leaving for a 2-month vacation, and we desperately do not want Jax to end up in boarding. He deserves a home, not a kennel. 🙏💛

Jax is neutered, vaccinated, and has some skin issues that are successfully managed with Apoquel medication.

Jax is the BIGGEST sweetheart, but he is also a strong boy at 90 lbs and needs a strong, experienced handler who understands his breed and can confidently manage his strength. Breed experience is strongly preferred. He’s still working on leash manners and isn’t a huge fan of the leash, so he’ll need someone committed to continuing his training and providing structure.

🏡 Jax’s ideal home:
🐾 ONLY animal in the home — no dogs, cats, or small animals
🐾 Older, respectful children would be best due to his size and energy
🐾 Someone experienced with the breed
🐾 A home that can provide structure, training, and daily activity

Jax is such a sweet boy who simply needs the right person willing to invest time, consistency, and love. He has so much love to give.

I am not crying today!! You are!! 🥹

I normally do a good job of holding back the tears and snot nose until the end of the day after work- but today it just came all pouring out.

Zuko- the perfect dog- waited patiently through a whole year in the shelter and then nearly 6 months in a foster home for this moment right here.

These dogs go through so much and my heart feels it too!

This is truly a day to be remembered!

Bacardi- his best friend was just adopted last week!

Now it’s his turn and it’s well deserved!

Thank you foster family for not giving up and for taking such great care of him. You saved his life and were able to join him in this moment today after you dropped him off to his new home and took this picture.

My heart is overjoyed with happiness and tears today!

Happy Life Sweet Boy! You deserve all that is great and so much more!

Update on Bacardi!

This girl is sure living the dream with her new dad 🥰

She has already been on her first little mini camping trip and made sure to taste every tree that was near by! Bacardi sure loves to chew on trees! lol

She is a complete Velcro dog- she follows her dad around everywhere. That’s the cutest damn thing ever.

She won’t go outside either unless he goes too. She loves his attention and interaction. Bacardi even purposely put her soccer ball in front of the lawnmower so that he would have to stop and play with her instead 😂

She is so smart! We are so happy for them. This truly came at the right time when they both needed each other the most.

This is what Rescue is all about for us. It may take some time to find that person/ or people but - it is so worth it when they do!! ❤️

It’s $5 dollar Friday ya’ll!!

We have some cuties with ongoing medical expenses that still need help with.

Jax- ( picture on the right ) has a monthly expense of Apoquel. He has an exam coming up that is mandatory before we can get his prescription refilled.
-$70 for Exam
-$100 per month for his meds

Donkey- (picture on the left )

He is a new rescue that was a part of a neglect case that we would need ongoing help with once he’s placed in a foster home. His skin was so bad when he arrived that he looked like a burned victim.

Since then he has recovered greatly and will need ongoing treatment. We will be posting about him shortly as well.

They both have horrific skin issues 🥺
