On a brighter note - Rennie made it and found a very patient and awesome family!

It was was Gotcha day 2 days ago! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Rennie spent alot of time at the same facility that Bubba did too at the boarding facility in Jerome.

He found his furrever! He went through training and this family has been through alot just to have him there!!

Thank you for taking a chance on Rennie!! He’s worth it! He made it - thanks to both if you! Clifton and Michelle!!

I have some incredibly devastating news to share about our Bubba. 💔

I don’t even want to talk about this right now. I feel like I’m still in shock. This whole week has really been a blur.

Everyone who help us help Bubba deserves to know and this is why I’m here today.

I’m f**ken hurt, I’m angry and am completely devastated. I have so many feeling right now and I won’t share them all publicly. I’m feeling completely defeated.

We lost Bubba early this morning 😢 He got up a moved a little and made it through the night. The damage was too much though and his body just couldn’t take it. It was just too damaged.

The vet shared with me yesterday that after he got out of surgery that they found a giant piece of plastic in his upper GI tract. That wasn’t everything though. They also found a 15 inch piece of fabric in his lower intestines. You could tell that it was trying to push through but it got stuck and was tangled up.

The vet said that he was such a strong boy because he got through this surgery. What a fighter! He really wanted to live!! He really wanted a good life! He deserved it!!

After getting the call this morning that he couldn’t hang on - I was told that those items had been his gut for a long time.

Let me tell all of you what kind of boy Bubba was!! Bubba loved people so much! He was cuddliest and snortiest boy in town!!

He loved his toys and he was extremely strong. We played rope pull together and about yanked my arm right off! I would say - these dogs don’t have s**t on Bubba!! lol 😂

That little pocket bully was tough as nails. He was misunderstood, loyal and had a heart the size of this universe!! I loved him so much!!

Bubba was pulled from a southern Utah shelter over a year ago where he was about to be euthanized. We believe that he was dumped by either a trucker or someone who knew that someone would take him in because he was amazing!! He was picked up by animal control!

We had absolutely had nowhere for this boy to go so we sent him to our boarding facility in Jerome Idaho to be with Bayley Miller. He spent a long time there before he found someone. He stayed with that foster adopter family for a month and was brought back.When I went to visit in March - he was so healthy and happy! This is how I will remember him!!

He finally found a new home though and we were so happy for him again about 6 months ago.

I just wanted him to have his happy ending! It kills me that he wasn’t being held by someone he loved while he left us! This part breaks my heart!

People have big hearts but many times cannot handle the outcome of what it takes to take care of them and what they need. This truth hurts so bad!! 💔

We think that we are saving them but in all reality- they are the ones that save us! They wake us up!! They show us what true unconditional love really means!!

I love every single one of our dogs like my own- that is so real!! I may not to get meet them all but our investment in our dogs runs deep!

I also feel that I need to bring awareness to this situation too.

We are not doing our dogs any justice by not being pro active on what they eat, what they play with or what they are doing. They are our children and they depend on us to lead them and guide them in the right direction!

We must advocate- not just for their rights and breed but also for their welfare and safety!!

They deserve it!! I speak for the voiceless! Bubba deserved a long life! He won’t get that with us here but he will my Golly boy at those pearly gates because their admission is absolutely free!

Thank you to everyone who supported him and helped to save him - not once but twice!! I know that Bubba thanks every single one of you!!

We are grateful for every single one of you!! Thank you Tammy Skidmore for everything that you do! She puts up with alot - especially from me! A true friend 🫶🏼

Quick update!

Bubba is out of surgery and it’s touch and go. He’s staying strong!! They are keeping him over night for observation.

I will post more tomorrow! His surgery has been paid!

Urgent surgery needed or Bubba will die!! 💔 Part 2 !

God please! We don’t want to loose him!

We took him to Skyline Vet where he currently is at and received a parvo test which was negative. They went ahead and moved forward with the X-rays and bloodwork next.

X-rays showed a blockage and it looks to be of some sort of fabric and LOTS OF IT!!

He needs this surgery or he will die! Please - I’m begging for all of the help that we can get here from every single one of you so that he can have this surgery.

He is in so much pain!

Update on Bubba - he was taken to Med Vet in Salt Lake City and had to leave because we did not have enough funding for a deposit.

He is in his way to currently to Skyline Vet Hospital in Ogden Utah. The course of action here is firstly…

✅ Parvo Testing

✅ Bloodwork

✅ X-rays

We will go from there afterwards. Bubba had actually became sick prior to getting into the Hydrogel. He has lost massive amounts of weight. Thus has been ongoing for 10 + days now and I can say that I am scared for him as I know his foster mom is too in too if her own health issues.

It’s been a hell a hell of a night and this boy deserves some medical help. We’re doing the best we can for him and all that he needs,

We appreciate so much to all of those who have donated already and have shared this post. Bubba needs all that he can get through this journey.

We will keep you all updated as we know more

Sad news 💔 Our Rescue has been hit really hard this past week with so much!

We are asking for donations for a very sick pup! Our Bubba Boy.

Bubba is being rushed back to the ER right now because he still has not been eating and there’s been blood in his stool.

Bubba was adopted and had to be returned back to the rescue due to his adopter not being able to afford his medical care because of her cancer treatments.

We really thought that he was on the mend after going in last week. He started at least eating boiled chicken and rice and has been drinking a ton of water. They checked his vitals, they were good and they gave him some bland food to eat at the vet.

He was sent home. Now he’s pooping blood and will barely eat at all. He’s lost so much weight.

He got into some Hydogel Crystals that was in the plants outside. 😭

Bubba is really sick!! We’re really scared for him!

This can kill dogs! Please help us save him!

This decision was not taken lightly. There was careful thought, preparation and planning that went into all of it.

Sakura who is now Koharu is one lucky gal!! Rescuers from an Idaho shelter after she had a litter of puppies - has grown into becoming the amazing shiny star that we all knew her to be with Katie’s help.

But did she luck out! She found a furever home and an awesome trainer all in one!

Happy Life Sweet Girl! You deserve everything that is great and so much more! 🫶🏼

A lot's been going on here at Legendary that we're really excited about! We'll be getting to more of that later.

Tonight, we're celebrating a new member of the family!

I've taken a lot of time considering my next dog. Whenever I bring a dog in to be my personal dog, I want to make sure that not only can I meet their needs, but that they're a good fit for me, my current dogs, and my lifestyle.

Looks like another foster fail, but this one will be my first non-Husky / Husky mix that I've officially owned. I've always wanted to own a deaf dog and have always enjoyed working with them. She fits in so well, is such a happy, goofy dog, always ready to have a good time, and doesn't miss an opportunity to invite whoever is in her sight to play. She already brings so much joy to our home, and honestly, I can't imagine her not being here at this point.

I'll be calling her Koharu as well as Sakura (her original foster name). Since she's completely deaf and can't hear her name, we'll continue using the hand sign we gave her when she first arrived, meaning Cherry Blossom.

Her new name carries poetic meaning and I think fits her very well.

Update!! 🙌🏼

I am in complete Awe over Big Poppa and these photos!!

How lucky are we to have a foster mom who also does photography as a side hustle!!

I would say very lucky!!

Aside from Big Poppa busting his first wire crate - the heavy duty one is fitting and working very nicely when he needs it.

Today is was Big Poppa and their Senior dog June’s first real intro together today and they knocked it pit of the park!!

Foster mama has been using our transitional care plan that was made by Katie Ashby who is one of the trainers that we use for some of our rescue dogs.

I wanted to also say that we have made some revisions to the care plan as well. As we learn more, we have added more to it in this past year.

Foster mom states that she has found it very beneficial! She made some of her own judgment calls on a few things which is absolutely fine.

He is getting the time, love and patience that he absolutely needs - this is what matters the most!

Pit Bull dogs have a long road to adoption, often thwarted by prejudices, laws and bans. Yet, would you be surprised to learn that pits are the number one dog being bred in America? That’s right – the dogs that have the hardest time finding homes are also experiencing a baby boom of overpopulation.
It is estimated that there are 3-5 million pit bulls in the U.S. The term ‘Pit Bull’ encompasses mainly three breeds of dog: the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Considered a ‘bully breed’ and subject to breed specific legislation, they are by far the most euthanized breed
Debates rage over the validity of accusations against them but one thing is certain….they are being killed in shelters at shocking rates.
Pit bulls and pit bull mixes average about 33% of shelter intakes nationally, but in large cities the numbers are as high as 40%-65%. About 75% of municipal shelters euthanize pit bulls immediately upon intake, without them ever having any chance at adoption. Those that are offered for adoption are usually the first chosen for euthanasia when overcrowding forces the shelter’s hand and decisions have to be made.
Studies estimate that up to 1 million pits are euthanized per year, or 2,800 per day. Some estimates are up to double that number. In the Los Angeles area alone, 200 per day are put to sleep. A study by the organization Animal People reports a 93% euthanasia rate for pit bulls and only one in 600 pits finding a forever home. -

Update: Loki only has a week to leave his current foster families home or else he will have to go back to the shelter he has been living at for a year.

It completely tore him apart. We’re out of options here and we need some help!

We need a new foster immediately!

After careful study of the situation and everyone involved that I have received reports from that know Loki - we have come to the conclusion that he does not have issues with women. That’s not the issue.

He does need strong leadership and guidance.

He could really use a friend right now and someone to choose him and mean it. Right now I am the only voice he has and needs a different environment so that he can thrive.

Please help us help him before it’s too late 🥺

Another foster needed immediately!!

This isn’t a post that I even wanted to begin typing today…..🥺

This poor boy has been pulling on my heart strings for a whole year! When I was notified about him around December/ January of last year and asked to take him into our rescue, I knew that we had to. He had already been in there for 6 months.

We had applications for him and people that just did not fit what was needed for him and had to say no.

That decision made Loki have to stay in the shelter even longer. 6 more months went by before we finally found a foster that looked like a great match.

We were ecstatic for him! After watching some of the other dogs getting adopted by other people and rescues pulling other dogs including our rescue - it was finally his turn!! Finally!!!

I was beyond thrilled to finally get him the hell out of the shelter! We’re sitting at 2 months of freedom right now and we have learned so much more about Loki!!

We already knew that he was 100% deaf. We knew that he was taunted, abused and neglected by his previous owners before he went to the shelter. We knew that he did very well with all of the dogs in the shelter and with the people who ran the shelter and volunteered.

What we did not know was how deep his traumas truly were until we got him into a home after spending a whole year in a shelter!

Decompression can take anywhere from 3 months to a couple of years when they have spent that much time in a shelter. Every dog is different. Every situation is different.

Loki’s trauma not only comes from a year of shelter life - we believe that it also comes from women. A lot has happened in these 2 months and he has spent a lot of time being bounced around.

We need him out of there as soon as possible so that we can start making arrangements so that he can have the mass on his neck examined properly and removed.

We prefer a male foster.

We need a foster that is willing to help us work with him.

Loki is also deaf and has learned some sign language. We would love for that to continue with him.

He has spent a couple of weeks in training so far and has been potty trained by his current fosters. He does great with kids! He just has triggers with women.

We truly believe that once he trusts them again that he will shine like the bright shiny star that we know he is - that just takes time and time is not what we have right now.
