☀️ Weather is looking wonderful for JOURNEYS 5K, just 3 DAYS AWAY! Get ready to make a change in your community! No matter if you run, jog, walk, or backflip your way through our 5K or 1K courses, you are making a real difference for those experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.

Online registrations are only open until tomorrow, June 18. But you can come register morning of the race too! We can't wait to see you all bright and early!

We’re excited to share that we recently received a $1,500 grant for our Hope Center from First Bank Chicago! Thank you so much!

In the past fiscal year, we have served over 1000 clients at the HOPE Center. The HOPE Day Center is where our clients have access to the tools they need to help them as they experience homelessness and housing insecurity. This includes over 50 vital services! This generous grant allows us to continue enpowering those in our community who need help the most.

Our Medical Respite Program is about to begin. Made to help those experiencing homelessness by providing them a safe, stable place to recover after an illness or injury.

In our program, our clients receive:
☑️ Short-term shelter for recovery
☑️ Connections to on-site and established healthcare providers
☑️ A system of support in a safe place
☑️ Coordination for follow-up care and medical appointments
☑️ Assistance with benefit applications, identification, and referrals
☑️ Dedicated case management that doesn't just focus on the now, but also on long-lasting stability

Recovery doesn't end at the hospital, but continues after being discharged. JOURNEYS is here to help you follow that path of healing.

Paired with the cold salads and cold waters, it made for a wonderful dinner to have during the summer heat for our clients experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

JOURNEYS Medical Respite Program is made for those without shelter to have a safe place to heal.

Healing from injury and illness is hard enough, but without a stable place to rest and recover, any healing begins to fray. We are here to give healing a chance.

Our Medical Respite Program allows clients to get short-term shelter, connections to on-site and established healthcare providers, get the follow-up care they need, along with our other services like case management that focuses on lasting stability. Because everyone deserves a chance to feel better.

This is just one of many care kits put together by students of Admiral Byrd Elementary School. These care kits will help those in our communities experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Thank you Penguins for thinking of us while you ended the school year off strong!
