Mountain lions are known for strength, focus, and fiercely protecting their home ground. This fall, the Young Harris College Mountain Lions showed all three. 🐾

Students and campus volunteers joined Sleep in Heavenly Peace - GA, Blairsville to build beds for local kids who need a safe place to rest. 🛠️🛏️

🌟 Meet our 2026 Dream Maker: Margi Vagell 🌟

The Dream Maker Award honors people who go above and beyond. They don’t just advocate for the mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, they champion it hands-on. Margi, executive vice president of supply chain at Lowe's, is exactly that kind of leader.

She doesn’t support the mission from the sidelines. Margi builds and delivers beds alongside our volunteers and inspires others to get involved.

“Margi is a leader who inspires others and turns compassion into action,” said Chad Sanders, Vice-Chair of the SHP Board of Directors. “She understands what it means to bring people, resources and purpose together, and she has brought that same commitment to the mission of Sleep in Heavenly Peace.”

What a day on the lanes! 🎳💙🛏

Our second annual Bowling for Beds raised more than $1 million ($1,072,358) to help end child bedlessness. That means 4,280 kids will soon sleep in beds of their own. With more than 100,000 children still on our waitlist, every dollar matters.

Congratulations to Margi Vagell, executive vice president of supply chain at Lowe's, our 2026 Dream Maker Award honoree, who turns compassion into action every day.

Fun fact: Sleep in Heavenly Peace volunteers across the country have, on average, delivered nearly 250 BEDS A DAY this year. That’s over 71,000 beds in 2026, and counting! 🛏️💨

That kind of hustle just carried us past 400,000 beds delivered since 2012. 🎉 Our volunteers are unstoppable, and we couldn’t be prouder. 💙

Right before a build day, thieves broke into Sleep in Heavenly Peace - SC, Charleston's trailer. They took four chop saws, two stands, and a tote full of batteries — the tools our volunteers use to build beds for local kids.

Chapter donations manager Dean Martin asked Lowe's to replace just one saw. Duane Thompson, store manager at Lowe’s Summerville #0358, replaced all four. 🙌

Lowe’s has been our founding partner from day one, and that commitment shows up every day in local communities.

Kindness looks a lot like sawdust. 🛠️🛏️✨

American 1 Credit Union celebrated CU Kind Day by teaming up with Sleep in Heavenly Peace - MI, Jackson at Arnold Elementary School in Michigan Center. 83 volunteers (employees, families, friends and neighbors) sanded, assembled and built 50 beds for kids across Jackson County! 🛏️

Our quarterly chapter training brought 38 passionate volunteers together in Lehi, Utah, October 9-10, 2026, to equip them with the skills and confidence to lead their communities in ending child bedlessness.

With more than 100,000 kids nationwide on our bed waitlist and over 400 chapters strong, we're growing our reach to serve more children than ever before. 💙🛏
