Rotary Fellowship on the Bocci Court!

Rotary Club of Gozo had a fantastic evening in Floriana last Saturday, joining fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors from across Malta and Gozo for an evening of bocci, great food and even better fellowship.

Hosted by Rotary Club Malta President Kate Movergan, we enjoyed some friendly competition (with a few new bocci rules to keep us on our toes!), plenty of laughter, and the opportunity to strengthen friendships across our Rotary family.

A big thank you to Kate for organising such a wonderful event, and to Mario for introducing us to this unique version of the game. Rotary Club Gozo was also pleased to donate the prizes for the winning team.

An evening full of friendship, fun and Rotary at its best. 💙💛

Welcome to Rotary Club Gozo, Dan Jones!

It was a pleasure to welcome Rotarian Dan Jones as the first new member inducted by our new President, Andy Young.

Rotary is built on friendship, service and making a positive difference in our communities, and we're delighted that Dan has chosen to join us on that journey.

Please join us in giving Dan a very warm Rotary Club of Gozo welcome. We look forward to his friendship, ideas and contributions in the years ahead.

Welcome to the Rotary family, Dan! 💙💛

After 18 memorable months as President of Rotary Club Gozo, the time has come to pass the chain of office.

Looking back, I'm incredibly proud of what we achieved together. We welcomed 11 new members, raised over €6,000 for local charities, celebrated the very best of our island through Pride of Gozo, brought smiles to countless children through our Christmas Children's Fundraiser, and strengthened our club for the future.

None of this was achieved by one person. It was only possible thanks to an amazing Board, our dedicated members, our supporters, and my wife, Sandra, whose own commitment and leadership played such an important part throughout my presidency.

On 1st July, I officially hand over to Andy Young. I know he will lead Rotary Club Gozo with enthusiasm, integrity and fresh ideas, and I wish him every success in the year ahead.

Although the chain changes shoulders, my commitment to Rotary Club Gozo certainly doesn't. As Immediate Past President and Vice President, I look forward to continuing to support Andy, our Board and this wonderful club.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. It has truly been the honour of a lifetime to wear the chain of office. 💙💛

Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting a group of international exchange students currently studying in Sicily. They were visiting Malta as part of their trip and were led by Alessia Mauri from the Rotary CLUB Catania

Our President Elect, Andy Young, met them in Buġibba, and together they made their way across the channel to Gozo. The students enjoyed exploring some of our island’s highlights, including the historic Cittadella and the charming streets of Victoria’s old town.
With the beautiful weather on our side, there was even time for a quick swim before heading back to Malta!

Experiences like these remind us of the importance of cultural exchange, friendship, and building connections across borders. 🤝💙

Proud to support the best of Gozo 🖤

We’re truly honoured to have been recognised by the Rotary Club of Gozo at this year’s Pride of Gozo Awards 2026.

Being part of an event that celebrates excellence, service and the incredible people who make this island what it is means everything to us.

Receiving this plaque of appreciation is a reminder of why we do what we do: to support the community we’re proud to be part of.

Thank you, Rotary Club of Gozo. Here’s to many more years of celebrating the very best of this island.

💙💛 Thank You to FRONT for Supporting Pride of Gozo 2026💙💛

The Rotary Club of Gozo would like to once again extend our sincere thanks to Nick and Rach at FRONT for their valued support and sponsorship of this year’s Pride of Gozo Awards.

Community events such as these are only possible through the support of businesses and organisations that believe in recognising excellence, service and the people who make a real difference within our island community.

It was a pleasure to present this plaque of appreciation in recognition of FRONT’s contribution to the success of this year’s event.

As written on the plaque:

"In appreciation of your valued support in recognising excellence and service within the Gozo Community."

Thank you once again for helping us celebrate the very best of Gozo and its people.
