Congratulations Dean Eboni Nelson on receiving the Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Award from the Lawyers Collaborative For Diversity, as well as being nominated to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation!

Congratulations to Dean Eboni Nelson on receiving the Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Award from the Lawyers Collaborative For Diversity, as well as being nominated to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation!

The Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Award, named for the first lawyer of color admitted to the Connecticut Bar, honors individuals who champion diversity and inclusion within the legal profession. Margaret Murolo ’24 nominated Dean Nelson as a visionary and strategic leader who is committed to public service and empowers students, staff, and faculty to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Under Dean Nelson’s leadership, UConn Law has enrolled its most diverse and academically accomplished class in history for two straight years. The school has also established the Office of Diversity, Belonging, and Community Engagement as well as the Constance Belton Green Diversity Fund to provide broad support for racial and social justice initiatives.

ABF Fellows are a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession.

New UConn School of Law alumni were welcomed into the the Alumni Association by members of the Board of Directors immediately after their commencement ceremony on May 17. The Alumni Associations provided a toast 🥂, some yummy treats 🍪, and some cool swag to its newest members. Congratulations to the graduates and their families!! 👩‍🎓⚖️🧑‍🎓

Our sincere thanks to Maura and Brian O’Connor ’68 for graciously hosting local alumni and Dean Eboni Nelson at the beautiful Field Club of Greenwich last week.

Dean Eboni Nelson had a great visit with Greenwich area alumni. It was a great opportunity to speak with alumni about their time at UConn Law and the many new initiatives we have undertaken to benefit our current students. Thank you to Brian O’Connor ’68 and his wife Maura for hosting this gathering!

Thanks to the UConn Law School Alumni Association, current students stopped by yesterday for some snacks to help power them through preparing for the start of exams today. It was gorgeous day and the students were so excited to eat their massive Doro cookies and chat for a bit in the sunshine. God luck on your final exams!
