Thanks to those who helped take down the flags at Greenwood Cemetery yesterday. It HAD to be done and thanks to the few who showed up and got it done. Sometimes supporting our Veterans and our Post requires some self sacrifice and physical effort just as each Veteran gave for us. Thank you to those who support our Veterans and our Post.

It's Sunday, July 13th and we're heading into another week of activity at the VFW.
District meeting in Bremen is today. Most of us tend to think these meetings aren't important to us but that's incorrect! These are VFW Posts from around the district sharing information and suggestions that benefit all of our clubs. A special THANK YOU to our Post officers and all those who give up their Sunday for the benefit of all of us.
MONDAY, July 14th -Post 2536 Meeting at 6pm. We are more than a bar - we are an organization for the benefit & support of Veterans. Meetings are only once a month so come to a meeting and support our Post and our VETERANS!
TUESDAY, July 15th - Greenwood cemetery to take down flags from gravesites. We need volunteers to help and it can go pretty quickly.
SUMMERFEST STARTS ON FRIDAY FOR 3 DAYS!
Thank you for supporting our Veterans and our Post! Volunteering a little of yourself will never pay them back for all their sacrifices. It can show your support for what they've done for all of us.

Time is moving quickly so I'll give you a summary of the next 2 weeks! If you don't know how fast it's moving think about these simple facts: Stores already have school supplies on sale. Michigan City goes back to school August 13th. New Prairie goes back August 7th - less than a month. Our grandkids in Plainfield, IN go back to school July 30th - that's in 3 weeks!!

So from the VFW's view here we go:
Thursday, July 10th at 6pm - Auxiliary Meeting - we have lots of planning & need lots of help so be there.
Friday, July 11th - dining room open 4-7pm. Starting at 7pm Chad Holm plays his awesome music to help you wind down the week.
Sunday, July 13th is VFW District Meeting in Bremen.
Monday, July 14th is the VFW Post Meeting at 6pm.
Tuesday, July 15th - we need to pick up flags from Greenwood Cemetery so needs lots of volunteers.
JULY 18, 19 & 20 - SUMMERFEST ALREADY!! See attached flyer. You can buy raffle tickets from bar now if you want too!

We'll send you reminders about these things but time really does fly by. Thank you for supporting our Veterans and our Post.
