We give a hand up to goal-oriented women working to overcome hardships by equipping them to create a foundation for permanent self-sustainability.

The Gatehouse Program allows families to achieve the dignity of earned success through a career-based income, financial stability, and the skills to manage their emotional, spiritual and physical health. Our evidence-based curriculum provides accountability and resources based on the individual’s needs and goals.

What does a hand up look like on an ordinary weekday?

Weekly coaching. Skills classes and groups. A team of experts to turn to. Childcare for Members' children through our childcare partners, Monday through Friday.

A hand up is not a handout. The Member sets the goals, makes the choices and does the work. The Gatehouse makes the opportunity possible.

That's how stability becomes capability, and capability becomes permanent self-sustainability.

Home is built from small things.

For Members, a furnished, rent-free apartment on a gated campus is part of the hand up that The Gatehouse offers, and it gives each Member room to focus on the goals she set.

Stability matters, and it's a step toward the capability to build a life that lasts.

Congratulations, graduates!

Last night we celebrated Members who earned degrees or certifications. Every one of them set a goal, made the choices and did the work to get here. This is earned success, and it belongs to them.

Looking for a meaningful way to bring your team together?

The Gatehouse welcomes corporate volunteer groups of up to 25. Our primary volunteer project right now is fence painting, a hands-on way for your team to become part of the hand up for Members who are working toward their goals.

Volunteering runs through December 18, so now is a great time to plan.

Where are you right now, and where do you want to be?

The Gatehouse believes every woman has God-given value, potential and purpose. A hand up gives you time, resources, relationships and support to build what comes next, and you do the work.

Three tracks, three starting points:

Education Track: finishing a bachelor's or master's degree
Vocation Track: completing a trade or vocational certificate, or a STEM-related associate's degree
Career Track: ready to work full-time and build career-based income

The impact of The Gatehouse doesn’t end when a woman completes the program. The confidence, skills, relationships and faith strengthened along the way can continue to shape her life—and inspire her to give back to others.

One former member shared:

“I will never forget the impact that this program had on me and continues to have in my life—and on my faith. I am thankful for the blessing of The Gatehouse, and I look forward to being a blessing to others in whatever way God sees fit.”

This is what lasting change can look like: a woman moving forward with purpose, gratitude and a desire to lift others along the way. ❤️
