Greetings from the Kentucky Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (KOPA),
We are reaching out to invite you to get involved in state-level advocacy to help improve access to essential care for individuals with limb loss, limb difference, and other medical needs. Together, we can make a positive impact in the lives of those who rely on these critical services.
Key issues we plan to address with state legislators include:
* Ensuring Medicaid insurance coverage for orthotic and prosthetic care.
* Expanding Medicaid coverage for cranial remolding orthoses for infants.
* Updating Medicaid payment rates, which have not changed in over a decade, and securing funding to support these updates.
* Supporting coverage for activity-specific orthoses and prostheses for children and adults by both Medicaid and commercial payors.
By joining our advocacy efforts, you can help ensure that individuals in our state have the care and support they need.
You can email your legislators using this link.
