Sometimes, our clients need transportation to and from work. If you have a working, female adult bicycle to donate, please call 937-303-8239. If you do not have a bicycle to donate but want to help, you can purchase a Walmart e-gift card and have it sent to [email protected]. Every time a new woman comes and joins the house, we call Schneider’s Florist here in Springfield and they donate the most BEAUTIFUL flowers to each woman. If you have a need for any flowers, they do a fantastic job and are so incredibly kind!! Thank you so much for supporting our mission!! The women’s faces absolutely light up when they see that they are just for them!! Here are the last 2 that we received 🩷🩷😍

This week we had a wonderful volunteer come to Safe Harbor House to cut our women's hair. This is a service that is coveted and we cannot tell you how grateful we are for Johanna and her time and talent!! Thank you so much for your service!!

Hear from our Operations Director, Laura Nye. I want to give a special shout-out to our Recovery Beginnings Program Director, Rachel! Rachel has been with us for almost 2 years now and is fantastic in her role! She brings consistent structure and work ethic to her team. Not only does Rachel run a smooth house, but she also does a ton of behind-the-scenes work for us as well. We are more than grateful for her leadership here at Her Story. Here are a few words from Rachel: "One of the many reasons I love working for Her Story is that I have the flexibility to do both full-time work and be a mother to my six-month-old son. I have the support of not only those in leadership above me but also from all of my wonderful coworkers who help me succeed and do this on a daily basis. I am so grateful that having a baby did not become a barrier to me serving women and helping them break the chains of addiction through the love of Jesus Christ." Thank you, Rachel, for your commitment and service daily to our clients and staff!

THANK YOU to everyone who attended our 2024 Better Together Fundraiser! With your generous support, we were able to raise about $10,000 to continue in our mission of serving women in need!! We can't do what we do without our community partners, so we are filled with gratitude knowing we continue to have community support! We look forward to seeing you all at our 2025 fundraiser!
