📸 Almond harvest is happening now! It’s a great time for California FFA members to get out into the orchard, capture the season, and showcase their perspective on California’s almond industry.

Students are invited to participate in the Almond Board of California's FFA Photography Contest by submitting an original photo that tells a story about the almond industry. 🌳

Teachers and parents, encourage your FFA members to take advantage of this opportunity to get creative, explore the almond industry, and capture a moment through their lens!

🏆 Top three photos will receive prizes
🖼️ Winning entries will be displayed at The Almond Conference

🎥 California FFA students — put rice in the spotlight! 🌾

The annual National Rice Month Scholarship Video Contest is back, giving graduating high school seniors in California and five other rice-producing states the opportunity to share what makes U.S.-grown rice special.

Students can create a video highlighting the importance of rice to their community, agriculture or the world for a chance to earn one of three scholarships, sponsored by the American Commodity Company.

Videos will be judged on creativity, quality and how effectively they tell the story of U.S.-grown rice.

📅 Submission deadline: Oct. 31, 2026

Encourage a graduating senior you know to grab their camera and help put U.S.-grown rice in the spotlight!

Behind every successful FFA member is an agricultural educator who invested their time, energy, and heart into helping students grow. Now is your opportunity to recognize those outstanding teachers.

🦉 Nominations for the Golden Owl Award are now open!

Sponsored by the California FFA Foundation, Nationwide, and the California Farm Bureau, the Golden Owl Award celebrates agricultural educators who go above and beyond to create meaningful opportunities for their students and local FFA chapters. Parents, alumni, students, colleagues, and community members are all encouraged to nominate an exceptional ag teacher.

Award recipients receive:
🏆 $500 and an engraved plaque as a regional finalist
🏆 $3,000 and the prestigious Golden Owl Award trophy as their state's Agricultural Educator of the Year

In addition, Nationwide will contribute $5,000 to each participating state's FFA, supporting the continued personal and professional growth of students, teachers, and advisors.

The Showcase Competition is back! This competition gives FFA chapters the chance to highlight California agriculture with a 1–2 minute video, which will be highlighted at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo!
