The Harbor Dish, Inc. was established in January 2013 to create Harbor Dish, a community café, in Safety Harbor, Florida. We established a network of community minded people all working toward the common goal of building a caring community that utilizes local businesses, and volunteers to enrich the lives of others and reduce food waste. Harbor Dish provides meals and food to 20+ non profits in Pinellas County. We also provide meals at parks and public sites within our community. We also prepare food to those organizations who directly serve those suffering from debilitating health conditions, disabled, veterans and elderly citizens who otherwise would go hungry. When our volunteers prepared and served healthy delicious meals at the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch, the children residing at the ranch simultaneously received life skills training, culinary arts training and enjoy other group activities such as air plane rides, auto mechanic tours and concerts. These educational events were coordinated through The Harbor Dish Inc. and were made possible by the contributions of local businesses and donors. We collaborated with many other non profit organizations and provided positive life experiences for the at risk population in our community. As the Harbor Dish celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2022, its growth is inspiring. The Harbor Dish was created in a residential kitchen where local residents made healthy, organic soup for our community. The Harbor Dish now uses a commercial kitchen to prepare over 600 meals per week. We also distribute 180,000+ pounds of food that are the equivalent of 150,000 meals per year. Tragic News in Our Safety Harbor Community

Our tight-knit community is grieving today following a devastating act of domestic violence that occurred on Main Street. It is with a profoundly heavy heart that I must share that our neighbor, Jessica Antolini, has passed away from the severe injuries she sustained during the attack.

On behalf of the City Commission and the entire City of Safety Harbor, I offer our deepest, most heartfelt condolences to Jessica’s family, friends, and everyone affected by this senseless tragedy.

I want to extend my gratitude to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and the brave community members who stepped forward instantly on Tuesday night. Because of your quick actions and the rapid response of our deputies, the suspect was immediately apprehended and remains in custody facing upgraded charges of First-Degree Murder.

As a father to a 5-year-old daughter myself, my heart completely breaks for the innocent young child who was caught in the middle of this horrific event. No child should ever have to witness or endure such trauma. As a city, we must wrap our arms around this little girl and ensure she has the lifelong support, love, and resources she needs to heal.

Safety Harbor is a peaceful community built on looking out for one another. When one of our neighbors suffers, we all feel it. As we face this incredibly difficult time, let us continue to surround Jessica’s loved ones with our thoughts, prayers, and unwavering support.
