Rescue City A New York City based 501(c)3 canine rescue organization Rescue City is a professional foster based dog rescue based in Brooklyn, New York.

We conduct lifesaving rescue transports from open intake shelters that are unable to save a high percentage of animals. Due to our efforts, hundreds of dogs are saved every year. As a registered 501c3 non-profit, we mostly rely on tax deductible donations to fund our lifesaving transport operations, veterinary costs, and support of our fosters. Every dog we care for is fully vetted and altered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. We are proud that our organization rescues dogs of every breed, size, age, temperament, and medical condition. Rescue City is tremendously appreciative of our community of loving fosters, dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and amazing adopters who help us do our incredibly important work. Our commitment to our dogs goes beyond the adoption process. Through our exceptional education and support, we believe that, together, we can make a real impact for the betterment of the relationship between canines and their guardians.

Meet C***r, the sweetest little shadow you’ll ever have and the perfect companion to ADOPT this fall!

He is an adorable 11 week old Lab mix weighing just 15 lbs, with big puppy paws he’s still growing into and an even BIGGER heart!

C***r is a professional cuddler, part time lap dog, and full time best friend in training. He loves his toys, is a quick learner, and has already mastered his puppy pads! He loves playtime, a few treats, and then using your lap as a pillow for a nap.

C***r is counting down the days until he finishes his vaccines and can explore the big world outside on those adorable paws! 🐾

🚨 Chestnut needs a FOSTER HOME or FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME by Monday!

Can you help? He’s a lovebug , loves to play with other puppies and literally gives them hugs them and kisses all the time according to his temporary foster, he’s been around cats and isn’t bothered by them too. He’s very food motivated, tolerates bath time and even his nails trimmed! Chestnut is about 20lbs and 3 Months Old, and the cutest Hound Mix growing into his paws - he is almost done with his puppy vaccines!

This 2 Month Old Pup is blossoming into the happiest, cuddliest, most curious little puppy!
She loves following her humans EVERYWHERE, playing with her toys, collecting treats for being a good girl, and cuddling with absolutely anyone willing to hold her. She’s even convinced her foster family’s not so cuddly Husky to become her snuggle buddy! 🐶♥️

Blueberry is one smart cookie! She’s learning commands like sit, stay, and leave it, doing great with her wee-wee pads, and sleeping through the night in her crate. She’s learning all things puppy and can’t wait to do it beside her forever fam!

Adorable and ADOPTABLE scruffy girl Dixie is ready to find her forever family!

Dixie was rescued after being found with her Poodle mix mama and her almost identical littermate brother, Denver! Since arriving in her foster home, she’s been proving just what an amazing young dog she is. She’s quickly learning the ropes, practicing her leash manners, and settling into life as a loved and spoiled pup! 🥹

1 year old and 40 lbs, Dixie is a long-legged beauty who’s enjoying a nutritious diet to help her put on some healthy weight. She’s an excellent nap taker, a wonderful car passenger, and has loved every human and dog she’s met so far!

Dixie is spayed, vetted, and ready for her next chapter. All she needs now is a family to call her own!

Meet Ginger 🧡 The little pup who didn’t quite get the family memo!

Ginger is an 11 week old Lab mix (or so we’re told 👀) who seems to be having a bit of an identity crisis! She’s the ONLY puppy in her litter with pointy ears, and we’re pretty sure she’s wondering how she ended up looking so different from her siblings. 🤣

Whatever mix of breeds went into making this adorable little girl, we’re absolutely obsessed! Ginger is sweet, playful, and ready to find a forever family to grow up with.

Sweet Praline is looking for a foster to adopt home ASAP! 🏡🤎

This happy little 3 Month Old Hound mix has been stealing hearts in her foster home, and it’s easy to see why! Praline is everything you could hope for in a puppy: she is gentle, affectionate, curious, and always ready to make a new friend.

She LOVES other dogs, especially her foster brother, who she spends her days wrestling and rolling around with. She’s also been wonderful with the kids in her foster home and is always happy to have another little playmate, and gentle with cats.

For a puppy her age, Praline is already such a good girl! She’s learning commands, making amazing progress with her p*e pads, and sleeps through the night in her crate. She’s got that silly puppy energy, but once she’s all played out, there’s nothing she loves more than curling up in a lap for a good snuggle.

Her foster family says she’s confident, friendly, smart, and the kind of puppy who could fit into so many different homes. We couldn’t agree more!

Meet the very handsome DENVER 😍, a 1 year old, long legged, 48.5 pound Poodle mix who was found alongside the road with his mom, Dani, and littermate, Dixie, by a worker from our partner shelter.

These are some of the sweetest dogs we have ever met! Denver is gentle, loving, and enjoys getting attention from people and other dogs. Denver has been neutered and vetted and has started a nutritious diet to help him gain some healthy weight. He’s fostered with other dogs, an older child, and is learning what it’s like to walk on a leash and explore the world! We can’t wait to watch this handsome boy continue to blossom and find a forever family to love!
