CCA Florida STAR Florida's largest, youth fishing competition running Memorial Day to Labor Day! Kids 6 to 17 can win $150,000 in prizes and scholarships!

STAR anglers will compete for nearly $500,000 in prizes and college scholarships during the summer long tournament which runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Entry fees are just $40 for current CCA members and $75 for non-members, which includ

es a one year CCA membership. Have an angler age 6 to 17 that would enjoy participating? CCA New Tide members fish the STAR for free for a chance to win a share of up to $100,000 in college scholarships. STAR Florida is a 101 day long tournament designed to encourage anglers to get out and enjoy more time on the water and to educate the general public about the importance of conservation of Florida’s marine resources. The format encourages anglers of all ages to protect and conserve Florida’s fishery resources for future viability and availability for all recreational anglers. By promoting participation in STAR, CCA Florida will aid in the collection of significant scientific data while providing anglers of all skill levels with the opportunity to participate in a family-friendly angling competition. All STAR participants should develop a heightened appreciation for the challenges facing Florida’s fishery resources and should thereby develop a newfound awareness of the efforts needed to preserve them. The iAngler Tournament System App, developed with the support of Elemental Methods / Elemental Mobile, gives participants a simple way to submit eligible catches and stay connected to the competition throughout the fishing season.

One Fish. One Photo. One Chance to Win. 🎣📸

If you're fishing in the 2026 CCA Florida STAR Youth Competition presented by Yamaha Outboards, don't hit the water without your official STAR identifier.

That identifier needs to be clearly visible in your catch photo when you submit through the iAngler Tournament System App. You can pick yours up at a local West Marine or one of the other official identifier pickup locations listed on the STAR website.

Once you're ready, the process is simple: head out on Florida's saltwater, catch an eligible species, photograph your catch with the identifier visible, and submit your entry.

And remember—you don't need the biggest fish to have a chance to win. It can take just one eligible catch!

We want to see the young anglers behind the catches! As you spend your summer fishing Florida's saltwater, don't forget to capture those moments and share them through your 2026 CCA Florida STAR Youth Competition presented by Yamaha Outboards entries.

When submitting a catch, make sure your official 2026 STAR identifier is clearly visible in the photo and, whenever possible, include the angler in the shot. Seeing the fish is great, but seeing the young angler who caught it makes the story even better!

From inshore flats and bays to piers, docks, and coastal waters, we're excited to see how Florida's youth anglers are spending their summer on the water.
