On Saturday, November 14, Military Explorer Post 124 will take on a 12-Mile Youth Road March through Lake Balboa and the Sepulveda Basin in honor of Veterans Day an in memory of our fallen alumni.

This is more than a march. It’s about discipline, endurance, teamwork, and showing our young people that their community stands behind them.

We invite youth organizations, veterans, families, and community members to participate, volunteer, or meet us at the finish line and cheer them on.

The First City R***e Corp, Post 124, is a Military Explorer Program chartered by Learning for Life Youth Programs. It was founded by two combat Vietnam veterans with a clear mission: to build young leaders capable of overcoming any obstacle while excelling as students and citizens.

Fast forward to 2026, and Col. Lee has devoted his life to keeping this program thriving—supporting everyone from adolescent overachievers to youth looking for a better path.

The alumni of Post 124 are a testament to the dedication of our founding commanders, who established our military standards and traditions.
