💜 Sometimes, it's the little things that mean everything.

A friend who understands when plans change. A day with fewer symptoms. A small victory after a difficult week. A community that reminds you you're not alone.

This National Gratitude Month, we're celebrating the moments, people, and connections that make a difference in the lives of those living with migraine and other headache disorders.

We know that gratitude doesn't erase the challenges of chronic illness. You can have difficult days and still find moments worth appreciating. Both can be true. 💜

✨ We'd love to hear from you: What's one thing, big or small, that you're grateful for today?

🪦💜 Here lies... Migraine Edition. 👻

Some things deserve to be laid to rest. Especially the misconceptions, unsolicited advice, and everyday challenges that come with living with migraine. 💀

From fluorescent lighting to hearing "it's just a headache" one too many times, if you live with migraine, you probably know exactly what we're talking about.

While we're having a little Halloween fun, the reality is that migraine is a complex neurological disease that affects so much more than just your head.

💜 Your turn: What would YOU add to the migraine graveyard? Drop it in the comments! 👇

🎉💜 Happy 18th Birthday, Miles for Migraine! 💜🎂

On October 29, 2008, Miles for Migraine officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. That same year, our very first Walk, Run, Relax event took place in San Francisco, marking the beginning of a movement that would bring together thousands of people impacted by migraine and headache disorders.

18 years later, our mission continues, and our community is stronger than ever! 💜

Today, we're celebrating more than an anniversary. We're celebrating YOU!

To every participant, volunteer, fundraiser, advocate, healthcare professional, sponsor, donor, and supporter who has been part of this journey: THANK YOU! 💜

Every mile walked, every story shared, every dollar raised, and every connection made has helped us grow and continue making a difference for the migraine and headache community.

We wouldn't be where we are today without your passion, generosity, and unwavering support.

Here's to 18 years of raising awareness, advancing research, building community, and reminding people living with migraine that they are not alone.

And here's to many more miles together! 💜

💜 Follow Our Fellows: Meet Dr. Paulina Díaz!

Our Follow Our Fellows series highlights the next generation of headache medicine specialists and the fellows receiving specialized training at headache centers across the country.

Meet Dr. Paulina Díaz, a Headache Medicine Fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Díaz completed her Neurology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. She chose headache medicine because of the meaningful relationships she can build with patients and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on their quality of life.

Dr. Díaz is passionate about improving care for people living with migraine through clinical care, research, and patient advocacy. 💜

We’re excited to follow Dr. Díaz’s journey and celebrate the future of headache medicine!

💜 "I wish people knew..."

Migraine is more than head pain. It's a neurological disease that can affect how someone thinks, feels, works, and navigates everyday life.

And so much of that experience is invisible.

We asked members of our Miles for Migraine team who live with migraine what they wish more people understood about the disease.

Their answers are a powerful reminder that someone can look fine while struggling, continue working through an attack, or carry the physical and emotional weight of a chronic disease that others may never fully see.

Living with migraine looks different for everyone, but one thing remains the same: everyone deserves to be believed, understood, and supported. 💜

Now it's your turn! 👇 What's ONE thing you wish people knew about living with migraine?

Share your thoughts in the comments. Your experience might help someone else feel less alone or help someone better understand what living with migraine is really like.

Living with migraine shouldn't mean settling for "good enough." 💜

Migraine is more than just a headache. It's a complex neurological disease that can impact every aspect of a person's life, from work and relationships to everyday activities and overall well-being.

At Miles for Migraine, we believe everyone living with migraine deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered to advocate for better care.

That's why we're joining Lundbeck US and others in the migraine community to spark a new conversation about the impact of migraine and the importance of redefining expectations for care.

✨ Better is possible. It's time to expect more. It's time to Raise the Bar!

Ready to take the next step? Explore the Patient Empowerment Guide to learn how to advocate for yourself and have more meaningful conversations with your healthcare provider.
