Our fall farm tours start in 10 days, and we’d love to have you along. Some of the best conversations happen walking a pumpkin patch or standing on a pond bank.

Come meet the families behind four Arkansas operations, swap stories with women from your corner of the state, and stay for lunch with the group afterward.

🎃 Oct. 24: In the Pines, Hindsville
🍶 Nov. 7: Origami Sake, Hot Springs (tasting $20)
🌰 Nov. 14: Feather Pecan Co., Griffithville
🐟 Nov. 21: Keo Fish Farms, Keo

Come to one tour or come to all four. You don’t need to live in a tour’s region (or even be an AWIA member) to join it. Tag the friend you’re bringing in the comments! 👇

Registration is open for our new AWIA Regional Fall Farm Industry Tours!

We're visiting four operations this fall, one in each region. You're welcome at any or all of them!.

🎃 Oct. 24 | In the Pines, Hindsville (NW)
A family pumpkin patch that has been a Northwest Arkansas fall tradition since 1990. It grows 60+ varieties and has been passed down through the generations.

🍶 Nov. 7 | Origami Sake, Hot Springs (SW)
Arkansas' first sake brewery, which makes its product from Arkansas-grown rice. We'll follow the rice from field to bottle and finish with a tasting. ($20/person)

🌰 Nov. 14 | Feather Pecan Co., Griffithville (NE)
A row-crop family that grew into 130+ acres of pecans and its own direct-to-consumer brand.

🐟 Nov. 21 | Keo Fish Farms, Keo (SE)
The world's largest hybrid striped bass hatchery. The farm ships 1.5 million fish a year.

All tours start at 10 AM on location. Afterward, stay for an optional community lunch nearby.

It's and we'd like to feature our Vice President, Madison Travis!

Agriculture has been a part of Madison Travis’s life for as long as she can remember. Growing up in Northeast Arkansas, Madison developed a deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication it takes to feed and clothe our communities. Today, she serves as a Crop Insurance Servicing Agent with Rabo AgriFinance, where she supports farmers in protecting their operations and navigating the challenges of production agriculture.

While agriculture is her career, Madison’s passion extends far beyond the workplace. She is passionate about servant leadership, agricultural education, and creating opportunities to support and encourage others in the industry. Madison currently serves as Vice President of Arkansas Women in Agriculture and Co-Chair of her county Farm Bureau Women’s Committee, allowing her to combine her love of agriculture and service with her desire to make a difference in the communities around her.

Outside of agriculture, Madison and her husband are raising their two children, Zane and Charlotte. Their faith is the foundation of their family, and they enjoy traveling, gardening, and spending time outdoors together. Madison also enjoys quilting and crafting—finding joy in both the busy and quiet moments of life.

Madison is grateful for the relationships, leadership opportunities, and friendships she has found through Arkansas Women in Agriculture. She is inspired by the women she serves alongside and the opportunity to learn from and encourage women who are making a difference in agriculture and their communities.

We are so grateful for Madison’s leadership, heart for service, and dedication to agriculture! 💚🌱

Today's spotlight is Crystal Ahrens Rouillier!
Crystal serves on the board of AWIA as one of our Northwest Area Representatives.
Crystal's roots in agriculture run deep. She was raised on an 80-acre registered and commercial cow/calf and sheep ranch in the River Valley. Crystal showed animals through 4-H and FFA as well.
Her involvements with those organizations paved the way for college and grad school and led her to her career as an Assistant Professor of Animal and Meat Science at Arkansas Tech University. Crystal and her husband, Ross, both serve as 4-H leaders and officers in their local cattlemen's association.
She enjoys being a part of AWIA because it provides a community to build a professional network from and also a personal village.

It's Wednesday, and we'd like to highlight our members by sharing their stories for .
Today's spotlight is our AWIA President, Michelle Bufkin Horton!

Michelle serves as the Executive Vice President of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association, where she has the privilege of advocating for Arkansas's cattle producers and sharing the story of agriculture every day.

At home, Michelle and her husband, Ryan, stay busy chasing their daughter, Cassidy, and enjoying life with their two dogs and two cats. Whether she's working on legislation, planning leadership programs, or connecting with producers across the state, Michelle believes the best part of agriculture is the people.

As President of Arkansas Women in Agriculture, Michelle is excited to help create opportunities for women to connect, learn from one another, and celebrate the many ways they make a difference in Arkansas agriculture. She looks forward to continuing to grow a strong community of women who support and inspire one another.
