Haiti Street Dog Project Our vision is to build animal habitats across the island of Haiti. These habitats are a method for controlling, caring for, and handling the dogs of Haiti.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our vision is to build animal shelters that will replicate across the island of Haiti. These habitats will ensure every department in Haiti has a method for controlling, caring for, and handling the street dogs. Our mission is to improve the lives of Haitian street dogs by implementing a threefold plan that focuses on dog welfare, population management, and educational programs and services. This will be accomplished by utilizing the Haitian government, local veterinarians, and the Haitian community to develop sustainable infrastructure that will improve the future of the street dogs.

This is me, Diane, back home in Haiti with my street dogs—the ones I’ve rescued, loved, and continue to care for every single day. 🇭🇹🐾❤️

Coming home and seeing my puppies again brought me so much joy. They’re all grown up now, almost one year old, and watching them grow healthy, happy, and full of life makes every sacrifice worth it.

I’m so thankful for every moment I was able to spend with them—loving on them, playing with them, and simply enjoying their presence.

Now, as I travel back to the States, my heart and mind are still in Haiti. I’m already thinking about what more I can do to make their lives a little safer, a little sweeter, and filled with the love they deserve.

Until next time, my babies. 🐶❤️🇭🇹

A little help is always better than no help at all. ❤️🐾

Today, we’re asking our friends and supporters to help us raise $500 for dog food for the dogs in our care.

Our rescue receives very little in donations, and most of the time, we personally cover the difference just to make sure every dog has something to eat. But we simply can’t do it alone.

Our goal today is $425. Whether you can give $5, $10, $25, $50, or more, every donation brings us one step closer to keeping their bowls full. 🙏🐶

If enough of us give just a little, together we can make sure these dogs don’t go hungry.

Please help us reach our $500 dog food goal today. ❤️🐾

Hopster Update ❤️

After weeks of dedicated care with Dr. Philius, Hopster has made an incredible recovery. His wound has healed beautifully, his strength has returned, and he’s finally whole again.

Today marks a new chapter as Hopster officially transitions from Dr. Philius’ care to the Haiti Street Dog Project rescue. We are beyond grateful for the compassion and expertise that gave him a second chance.

Welcome home, Hopster. Your journey from pain to healing is a reminder of what love, patience, and teamwork can accomplish. 🐾

Today we’re celebrating Genese, the incredible woman behind so much of the love and care at our Jacmel shelter. ❤️🐾

With very little help, Genese faithfully cares for nearly half of the dogs in our rescue, making sure they are fed, loved, and looked after every single day. Her compassion, dedication, and tireless work make a world of difference for dogs who have nowhere else to turn.

Please join us in wishing Genese a very happy birthday and thanking her for the heart she pours into the Haiti Street Dog Project. We are so grateful for you, Genese. Happy Birthday! 🎉🐶🇭🇹

🐾❤️ Hopester’s Update ❤️🐾

We wanted to share a little update on our sweet boy, Hopester.

He remains under the loving care of Dr. Philius and continues to do well. We are happy to report that he is eating and drinking very well, which is an important part of his healing journey. While the severe wound on the side of his head is still being treated, we are encouraged by the progress he is making each day.

One of the things that has touched us most is learning more about Hopeton’s personality. Dr. Philius tells us that he is incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving. For a dog who was found struggling on the streets and likely never experienced consistent love and care, his trusting spirit is truly remarkable. Despite everything he has endured, he continues to show kindness and affection to those helping him.

This Father’s Day, we also want to give special recognition to Dr. Philius. Thank you for opening your heart, your home, and your clinic to a dog in desperate need. Your compassion, patience, and dedication are giving Hopester a chance at a new life. Happy Father’s Day, Dr. Philius! We are grateful for all that you do.

Hopester still has a road to recovery ahead of him, but we believe that with continued medical care, proper nutrition, and lots of love, he will make it through.

Thank you to everyone who has supported his journey so far. Your donations, prayers, and encouragement are helping save a life. If you would like to contribute toward Hopester ongoing care and treatment, we would be deeply grateful for your support.

Together, we’re giving Hopester the future he deserves. 🤎🐾 } LifeMatters

Update- Meet Hopeton. 🤎

Just days ago, Hopeton was suffering alone on the streets, carrying visible wounds and the scars of a difficult past. Thanks to your generosity, he is now safe and receiving daily medical care from Dr. Philius while he continues his recovery.

We are encouraged by his progress so far. His wounds are being treated, he is getting proper nutrition, and for the first time in a long time, he has a chance to heal in a safe environment.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared his story, and prayed for him. Every gift has made a difference. We have raised $170 toward his care and are continuing to work toward our goal to ensure Hopeton receives everything he needs on his journey to recovery.

Hope lives on in Hopeton. 🐾🇭🇹
