When you’re living with diabetes, taking care of your kidneys matters, too. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) can develop quietly, often without noticeable symptoms early on. Two simple tests during regular healthcare visits can help check your kidney health. Learn more about these important tests at diabetes.org/Kidney.

Along the way, they gain confidence, independence, and a sense of community that can last a lifetime.

Today, our Board members and ADA staff had the opportunity to visit Camp Aldersgate and see our “why” up close.

We met incredible campers who were making lifelong friends, building confidence, and learning how to manage their diabetes in a safe, supportive environment. Watching these kids laugh, connect, and realize they are not alone was a powerful reminder of why this camp matters so much.

Diabetes doesn’t take a summer break, and neither does our commitment to ensuring every child has the chance to experience camp. Thanks to generous donors and supporters, we never turn a child away because of an inability to pay.

Camp changes lives. It creates friendships, fosters independence, and gives children living with diabetes the tools and confidence they need to thrive.

Thank you to everyone who helps make these life-changing experiences possible. ❤️
