What a night at joespub inside publictheaterny! 🌿🎭

On September 16, We Grow NYC was honored to join plantofthepeople for a powerful evening where music, theater, cannabis history and advocacy came together.

Deep gratitude to babaisrael, graceface_killah and duvmusic; special guest artist aneesafolds; and the incredible live band featuring seannowell, boogieman_productions, Robert Knowles and Juan Carlos Polo.

We were also honored to hear from Martin A. Lee—author of “Smoke Signals” and co-founder of project_cbd—and Tosin Ajayi of Cannabis NYC at ms.tos

Thank you to plantofthepeople, calm_better_days, the artists, advocates and entire production team for inviting We Grow NYC to participate in this meaningful event. We look forward to continuing the work; using culture, education and community to advance cannabis justice, equity and opportunity across New York City.

The movement keeps growing. 💚

We Grow NYC is a nonprofit organization and is fortunate to have incredible sponsors who value our work and prioritize our initiatives. Their support helps us continue to have an impact and to grow together. Their products help ensure quality, healthiness, and in some cases, the freshness of our months long efforts.

Freshness doesn’t stop at harvest. 🌱

Whether you’re curing your first home grow or managing a professional cultivation operation, Grove Bags are designed to help protect the quality you worked so hard to produce.

Powered by TerpLoc® technology, Grove Bags support terpene preservation, weight retention, and mold prevention—helping maintain freshness through curing and storage without the constant maintenance of traditional methods.

We’re also proud to have Grove Bags supporting We Grow NYC and our mission to expand cultivation education, access, and opportunity across our communities.

If quality matters from harvest to storage, make Grove Bags part of your process. Use code “wegrownyc” for your discount today!

🌱 KNOW SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO LEARN HOW TO GROW? SEND THEM THIS.

Our next Home Cultivation Basics workshop is coming up at Torches NYC, and we’re inviting curious and aspiring home growers to join us for an accessible, beginner-friendly evening of learning.

📅 Thursday, September 24
⏰ 5–8 PM
📍 Torches NYC — 12 E 42nd St, Manhattan

We’ll cover the fundamentals people need to start with confidence, including seed-to-harvest basics, indoor setup and planning, beginner cultivation tips, and practical guidance you can actually use at home.

No prior experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to learn. 🌿

And we could use your help spreading the word.

Please share this post to your Story, tag someone who has been talking about learning to grow, or send it directly to a friend who might want to attend. Every share helps us reach another New Yorker who may not know this kind of education is available.

A huge thank-you to Torches NYC for continuing to open their space to community education and helping us make hands-on learning more accessible.

What happens when home cultivation education meets community, opportunity, and the future of the industry?

We’re bringing that conversation to MJBizCon.

On December 3, We Grow NYC will be at the Grow Hub for Home Cultivation Basics, a hands-on look at the knowledge, tools, and foundational skills that can help make growing at home more approachable.

But the session is about more than cultivation.

At We Grow NYC, we believe education can open doors. It can give people practical skills, build confidence, create connections, and help develop new pathways into the industry.

That’s the work we’re bringing to Las Vegas.

Whether you’re a home grower, retailer, educator, brand, industry professional, or simply interested in where home cultivation is headed, come spend some time with us.
