Attention CORP Active Members:

As an active Correctional Officer Retirement Plan (CORP) member, you are eligible for Cancer Insurance through the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (PSPRS).
All active PSPRS/CORP Members who are not currently enrolled may enroll through June 30, 2026.

Below are the benefits that are offered for an annual premium of $50*. Yes.. just $50.00 per year!!

* Premiums are set annually by the Board of Trustees per statute (A.R.S. 38-641), not to exceed $180 per year, and are invested by PSPRS in a trust used to pay members' claims.
Members have a 24-month period to submit claims for out-of-pocket expenses.

To enroll, log in to your PSPRS/STARS Member Portal.
Once you are logged into your STARS account, look to the bottom left-hand corner for the link "Cancer Insurance".
Next, in the upper right-hand corner, click "enroll".
Follow the five steps listed to confirm enrollment.

Arizona lawmakers are voting on two important public safety bills that impact correctional professionals and law enforcement across our state.

🛡️ **SB1270 – Correctional Officers: Supplemental Contributions**
Supports recruitment and retention by allowing supplemental retirement contributions for correctional professionals.

⚖️ **SB1493 – Law Enforcement Reinstatement**
Provides reimbursement of reasonable attorney fees and costs when an officer is wrongfully terminated and later reinstated.

Budget Update: Permanent Salary Increase for Correctional Officers:

The Fraternal Order of Police met with President Petersen today and we learned that the salary increase for Corrections will be made permanent. Initially, we were told that they could only do a one time this year - today they said they got it permanent.

This is a continuation of the 4% Bonus.
