Preparing for a course I’m teaching this Fall for the Doctor of Professional Counseling program at Houston Graduate School of Theology — Advanced Counseling Skills and Techniques! I’m so excited to share this powerful work with the students.

Fellow therapists, if you’re not familiar with this book, I highly recommend it. Though I don’t consider myself a psychodynamic psychotherapist and this book is written from that theoretical model, I find its application to be powerfully effective across therapeutic modalities.
