GMAD hosts educational tables, animal protection events, and advocates for pro-animal legislation.

Green Mountain Animal Defenders (GMAD) is a Vermont based 501(c)(3) non-profit animal advocacy organization which has been working to protect the well-being of all animals since 1983. Donations: https://fs29.formsite.com/Gmad4577/general-donation/index.html

As Vermont’s largest volunteer-run animal protection team, GMAD works to raise awareness around companion animals, farmed animals, wildlife, entertainment and laboratory animals and to promote green living. College students are offered real-world experience in multiple disciplines through our unique internship program. Dynamic young minds provide support for the organization’s dedication to remaining nonprofit. GMAD also helps animals directly by sponsoring spay/neuter programs and through adoption efforts. Countless cats, dogs, ferrets, mice, birds, rabbits, pigs, chickens, and assorted wildlife have been rescued through GMAD's involvement.
