Thank you Attorney Andy with Smith Bovill! He let one of our fosters bring five bottle babies into office this week so our rescued orphans could be properly cared for. It takes a village and in Saginaw County we are so grateful for all those like Andy that care deeply for animals.

✨ Bellatrix & Archer — Waiting for Their Turn to Be Chosen

Bellatrix and Archer have been waiting so patiently for their forever people. They’ve watched their kitten friends — even their own brother — leave for loving homes, hoping every day that their moment is finally coming.

This sweet sister‑brother duo arrived at HSOSC around Halloween of 2025. At just 7 weeks old, they were frightened, unsure of humans, and trying to make sense of a brand‑new world. Thanks to the time, patience, and gentle care of our wonderful volunteers, they’ve slowly blossomed into trusting, affectionate young cats.

Archer is our little lovebug — he melts for snuggles and never turns down a good snack.
Bellatrix is the independent spirit of the pair, happiest when she’s chasing toys or exploring her space. Together, they balance each other beautifully.

They do well with other animals when introduced slowly and respectfully. What they’re truly dreaming of is a calm, steady home where they can continue to grow, relax, and let their personalities shine even brighter.

UPDATE: We got momma!! 🥳

Remember those two newborn babies from a couple of weeks back? Their momma purposely left them out in the open for us because she knew they wouldn't survive the woods. She hid under a lawnmower watching us, and as soon as we had them, she bolted.

Little Dice and Domino are absolutely thriving on the bottle! 🍼🐱

Momma’s milk has dried up, and while she is definitely not amenable to indoor cage life, we accomplished the mission: she is vaccinated, fixed, and will never have to worry about protecting a litter in the wild again. Huge rescue win! 🐾❤️
