The Atlantic County Junior Football League (ACJFL) is hosting the 2023 Annual ACJFL JIM HEISLER SAND BOWL this year to honor our longtime leader, Mr. Jim Heisler. He has dedicated over 50 years of his life to the ACJFL, starting as a coach for the Pleasantville Jokers, and now serving as Senior Executive Board Member and Treasurer. Jim has played a significant role in organizing the ACJFL annual Sand Bowls, tirelessly working to secure funding for college scholarships for ACJFL participants and contributing to the success of the ACJFL. His leadership has been an inspiration to everyone.

Jim was raised in Delaware by his grandfather and later by his foster Mother, Mrs. Roe, on her farm. He has been involved in several organizations, such as the Lions Organization, Boys Scouts, and Red Cross, and as a youth baseball umpire. He is currently serving as a church trustee board member, Lay Servant, and Planning Board member for Buena Borough.

One of the highlights of Jim's career was when he became District Governor for South Jersey for the Lions Club in 2010 and 2011. His installation was in Sydney, Australia. As a Boy Scout Leader for over 30 years, he traveled on many camping trips and Jamborees in the United States and Canada. In the Red Cross, Jim was a volunteer instructor and trained many people in CPR. He worked for 40 years in advertising for the Atlantic City Press.

Jim is married to his beautiful wife, Janice Heisler, and has three children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Janice mentioned that he volunteered to cook many pancakes and spaghetti dinners for numerous organizations as a fundraiser. Most of all, Jim was an excellent dance partner.
In conclusion, let us take this opportunity to thank Jim for his incredible service to the Atlantic County Junior Football League and his community's lifelong spirit of volunteerism.
