Hikes? ✅ Car rides? ✅ Fetch? ✅ Lounging on the couch? ✅ Kofia is truly the perfect mix of “let’s go on an adventure!” and “let’s have a cozy Netflix day.”
Kofia is a 3-year-old, 65 lb mixed-breed girl who seems to wake up every day ready to make the most of it! Her little nub tail is always wagging, and she has one of the most expressive faces we’ve ever seen. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccines.
Kofia absolutely adores people. There’s no such thing as a stranger to this girl! Old or young, big or little, she doesn’t care. As long as you’re willing to offer a few scratches, she’s convinced you’re her new best friend. She has done great meeting kids at adoption events and is happy to sit politely at your feet while asking for pets.
Kofia also loves playing with her dog friends! She can be a little vocal when she gets excited, which can intimidate some dogs, but she’s just trying to have a good time. She loves playing chase and wrestling and has met dogs both big and small. She is a little too interested in cats, so a cat-free home would be best for her. She’s also great about sharing with others, whether it’s toys, water, or even treats!
Toys are Kofia’s absolute favorite. Whether they squeak, crinkle, or bounce, she’s happy to entertain herself with a whole pile of them nearby. She’ll even bring balls back when you throw them outside (most of the time)! And when playtime is over, she loves settling in with a good bone for some relaxing chew time. She is both treat and toy motivated.
Kofia has so many wonderful qualities that make her an easy addition to the family. She is crate trained, potty trained, great in the car, and walks beautifully on a leash. In fact, she absolutely LOVES walks! Whether you’re strolling through town or exploring the woods, she gets so excited when she sees you pick up the leash. She trots along happily, sniffing everything along the way, and if she gets a little too far ahead, she responds well to a correction and settles right back into a loose-leash walk.
As much as Kofia loves her adventures, she’s just as happy to curl up on the couch with you. When her foster mom works, Kofia is content to lie at her feet. She’s an affectionate girl who occasionally tries to sneak in a few kisses and is wonderfully respectful when asking for attention. The second you sit down, her head is likely to end up in your lap, accompanied by the sweetest puppy-dog eyes you’ve ever seen. She’s also great at reading the room. When it’s time to play, she’s all in, but when it’s time to relax, she has no problem settling down right beside you.
All in all, Kofia is a sweet, goofy, affectionate girl who truly offers the best of both worlds. She’s ready for adventures, playtime, and exploring the world with her people, but she’s just as happy spending a quiet evening at home. Now all she needs is a family to call her own.
