As an area rich of and diverse , Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 is at the centre of our attention in the work we do for . 🌳

But how does man-made impact the equilibrium of PNG as well as its population and their access to clean water❓

1️⃣ Intensive and uncontrolled gold mining pollutes local sources, creating great environmental damage;

2️⃣ Pollution of water with high level of mine waste poses direct health threats to the social and economic rights of communities living near the mine;

3️⃣ Dumping of mine waste contributes to severe ecosystem’s alterations in PNG’s rivers, profoundly and negatively affecting local communities and their life.
