To all of our Smith Lake Community we wanted to thank you again for a successful 2026 Poker Run in memory and in honor of Harold Beasley sponsored by Phillip Beasley with zero accidents and a great day of fun on the water. We also wanted to give you guys an update on what we raised this year and give everyone an update on what we have spent the money on thus far for the past years. 1st and foremost we purchased an ROV (remotely operated vehicle for underwater search and recovery), we have also purchased a 32ft enclosed Pontoon boat which we named, “Next Pitch #5”, with funds that were donated in memory of Braxton Beasley son of Phillip Beasley. This year we raised $125k during our Poker Run. We couldn’t have done that without the Smith Lake Community. We purchased an enclosed tandem axle trailer for our events, and we plan to start erecting a new building to house our equipment on property that has been donated to ALC in memory of Braxton Beasley and Harold Beasley by Phillip Beasley. We are super excited to continue our events on Smith Lake to be able to have equipment necessary for any tragedy on the water. We want to have everything available but we hope and pray we never have to use any equipment. We also plan to help support local fire departments in all three counties surrounding our lake. We plan to help fund and support the “Smith Lake Task Force” which originated from the first Poker Run on Smith Lake in honor of Mike Beasley, Phillip Beasley’s Uncle, that lost his life in a boating accident on Smith Lake.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your participation and donations to our event. We look forward to continuing our events to benefit underwater search and assist underwater victims.
“Don’t think it can’t happen to you or your family”
