Nestled within the historic University Place neighborhood, the Uni Place Creative District invites you to embark on a journey of artistic experiences.

Our LAST market of the season is TOMORROW, 6-10pm on N 48th and Saint Paul Ave, and there are some things you should know!

From 6-8pm we will be hosting a costume contest! Show up in your best look and sign up at the Uni Place booth by 8pm to be entered in the contest. The winner will be announced at 8:15pm by the Uni Place judges and will recieve a gift basket! All attendees can also enter in a seperate drawing to win another gift basket, both with products and prizes from some of our local businesses and vendors!

Immediately following, Create 48 will have the first lighting of their brand new neon sign! Head over to 2816 N. 48th Street and be a part of this incredible experience, and shop vendors while you're at it!

Bathrooms and AC are available in several Uni Place businesses, including Avant Card Shop/ Studios and The Gathering Grove so feel free to duck in and shop around while you’re at it!

We will have live music from 6-9 alternating on both sides of 48th St! Get ready to sink into some great night market vibes with local artists Spencer Munson ( DJ $pencelove) and Hansen Airship

We will have several food trucks, including World Plates, Philato Cafe, Golden Badger Bakeshop, The Dirty Soda Club 402, and close to a dozen other vendors selling baked goods, desserts, candy, drinks, and so much more!

There is also a Mexican restaurant (just opened!), Taqueria El Alteño Lincoln , open until 9pm, and a bakery, Jerusalen Bakery, selling Guatemalan pastries, baked goods, and meals options including gyros, shwarma, cheeseburgers, and more! They’ll be open until 7pm. Both are located in the heart of the market, at the intersection of N 48th St and Saint Paul Ave

Free parking in the 48th and Baldwin lot, 48th and St. Paul, and 48th and Madison. You can also find street parking!

We are pet-friendly! Your furry friend is more than welcome to spend the night with us alongside you 🙂

Finally, it might get a little chilly tonight, so bring some layers!

In just three days Uni Place will be looking like THIS again! ☀🌙

We can't wait to celebrate the end of the season with you THIS FRIDAY, October 16 from 6-10pm for our final night market of the year! With a costume contest, a raffle, and all of your favorite vendors, food trucks, and more, we're making it a big one. Get ready for a hauntingly fun night...The last Uni Place Makers Market is THIS FRIDAY from 6-10pm at N 48th St & Saint Paul Ave, and we're closing our season out with a spooky twist! Get into the Halloween spirit and stop by in your best costume from 6-8pm for a chance to win our new Halloween raffle, with prizes contributed from all of your favorite vendors and local businesses! 👻

Of course, we’ll also have all our typical market fare including 60+ vendors, food trucks, and live music. DJ $pencelove (Spencer Munson) will be on the disks from 6-7pm and again 8-9pm, while Hansen Airship will bring bluegrass/folk tunes from 7-8pm.

October's First Friday is coming up fast, and the district is slated for a busy night of art and entertainment! 🎭🎨

Visit Create 48 from 4-9pm and meet the artists and have a sip and stroll with the Lincoln Artists' Guild while exploring the various exhibits in the gallery!

From 6:30 - 8:30pm, you can visit The Gathering Grove for two comedy improv performances by Occasionally Hilarious, at 6:30 and 7:15pm! Admission is free, and donations are suggested! Each show is different, so see one or both!

Stop by Mo Java Cafe & Roasting Co. and enjoy their extended Friday hours with happy hour from 4-6pm!

LUX Center for the Arts will host a variety of activities from 5-8pm, with openings at two galleries, an Artist-in-Resident open studio with discounts on select works, interactive demos, and you can even paint a pumpkin to take home!

The Nebraska Wesleyan Art Department Art Club will host a student exhibition from 5-8pm at the NWU student house!

The Flats at Leighton District will bring some eats to the district with their First Friday Food Trucks, World Plates and Street Treats from 5-8pm.

Finally it's opening night for Underdog: The Other Brontë at Nebraska Wesleyan University Theatre Department!

There's something hiding in Lincoln...and the answer might be right in front of you 👀

By that, we mean that Lincoln Mural Bingo is in full swing, and Uni Place is in on it! 🖼 Our district is home to the highest concentration of murals in the city, a couple of which are on the bingo card!

Grab your bingo card at the LUX Center for the Arts, and go on the hunt for the trinket boxes at the LUX Center for the Arts and Create 48 outside the murals to fill out your card!

Which murals, you may ask? You'll have to explore the district and find out! Don't worry, we've given you a couple hints here...but you can also get out and explore all 15 of the Uni Place murals (Mural Maps at the LUX!), and branch out into the rest of the city and see if you can fill your card out. Turn it in at the LUX Center for the Arts or Escape Lincoln once you get BINGO for a chance to win a prize!

🎨 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Danny Reneau 🎨

Danny Reneau has been drawing since childhood, first inspired by another student’s Ninja Turtle drawing. What began as a hobby grew into a serious practice about nine years ago, leading to a diverse body of work that includes illustrated children’s books, skateboard and apparel design, teaching with the Nebraska Arts Council and LPS afterschool programs, and gig posters for local bands. More recently, Reneau has expanded into mural work, including his first Lincoln mural at Create 48 here in Uni Place, with another interior mural currently in progress at Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs.

For Reneau, creating is personal and independent, and is a space that belongs to the artist. While much of life involves collaboration, he values the solitude of drawing and painting, where the work is entirely his own. Rather than chasing a fixed idea of “purpose,” he sees creativity as an ongoing process of learning, challenge, and growth.

While the process isn't easy, with each piece bringing moments of frustration and doubt, pushing through those obstacles is what shapes his work and helps define his style. For Danny, art is about persistence, finding a way forward until something meaningful emerges.

Influenced by artists like Bill Watterson, Todd McFarlane, and Jim Lee, Reneau’s work reflects a blend of inspirations that keeps his style evolving.
