"I just watched Administration unilaterally close campuses; upending the lives of colleagues & students without any consideration or plan for what comes next.  I support a union because meaningful job security is just one of the benefits we can earn in collective bargaining. Penn State works because we do, and it’s time the institution recognizes that." - Zack McLaughlin-Alcock, Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics, Penn State Abington

"We are the last line of defense. WE care about our students' education! The government does not. And often it seems the administration of PSU does not either.
We need to negotiate a contract that will let us keep giving students the education they deserve!" - Randall Newnham, Professor of Political Science, Penn State Berks

"I encourage ALL faculty - not just those who are already on board - to get involved NOW as we prepare for negotiations. These conversations affect all of our futures. The more we work together, the stronger our union will be." - Scott Burnett, Assistant Professor of African Studies and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, University Park

"Having a certified union means more than representation; it's a call to action: when the priorities of the powerful lead Penn State astray, we're here to put it back on course. For our students, our community, and each other." - Harvey Partica, Assistant Teaching Professor of English, University Park

"Having served a term as director of my school, I understand the substantial decision-making latitude that Penn State administrators possess, including discretion over financial resources. I plan to be a dues-paying member of our union to receive the full benefits of membership and, equally important, to stand with and support my colleagues." - John O'Neill, Professor of Hospitality Management, University Park

"As someone who has studied workplace bullying for close to 20 years, I understand how essential genuine and consistent respect, dignity, fairness, and transparency are in any workplace - not just as a convenient tagline. I am proud to support SEIU because it gives employees a stronger voice and advocates for the fair treatment we all deserve." - Leah Hollis, Professor of Education, University Park
