Another StuCo Volunteer Spotlight!! Peyton Moore is a Junior studying Microbiology, and she is also the Schreyer StuCo Social Director! Her favorite THON memory was watching the total reveal and breaking the 11 million dollar mark last year.

We THON in 4 hours!! Our other dancer for THON 2021 is Toni McFarland, a Junior studying Accounting. Her favorite THON memory was at THON 2020 when she was able to meet Jack and Marlowe Sylves for the first time. This year, she can't wait to see the families virtually and experience the Final Four! Toni has been very involved in Schreyer Student Council THON, and we can't wait to cheer her on this weekend.

We THON in 3 days! Today, we feature one of our dancers this year, Kate Kirk. Kate is a senior studying general science and psychology, and she has previously been the Primary THON Chair for Schreyer StuCo. Here is her favorite THON memory:

"My favorite THON memory is our trip to Erie, PA for our THON Nation Bingo fundraiser. I was so excited and shocked by how many people were going on the trip. We had struggled in the past to even get 5 members to go canvassing so this was a huge step for StuCo as a THON organization. We all had a blast and were able to get to know our members on a deeper level. The best part of the trip was all 17 of us playing football even though half of us were confused the entire time!"

THON is only 6 days away! Today, we are starting our StuCo member spotlight. Steve Budzinzki, a junior mechanical engineering major, was one of our dancers for THON 2020! Here is his favorite THON memory:

"It was hour 45 of dancing last year, and I had just regained control of my body. I had just spent the last three hours oscillating between watching myself dance through a third-person view, and hallucinating about the people on stage. Pretty cool. But as the last performer came on stage, our THON family miraculously found us, and all pain and fatigue left me. I spent the last hour battling it out with Jack, our THON child, and his sister, Marlowe, with silly string and water pistols. Maybe it was the sleep deprivation or the raw euphoria packed into the BJC, but as "Don't Worry, Be Happy" finished out the weekend, I finally understood fully why we THON."

This year, Steve can't wait to see our THON family and all of the fun virtual quirks that come with the weekend. He is an invaluable member of our StuCo THON organization!
