Hi everyone, I found out about this job opportunity at work, and thought some of you might be interested in applying. Feel free to reach out to me on my personal account (Leedvermaak) if you want to chat about what it's like to work at the Clinic.

Copied from the original job posting:

I want to share an exciting opportunity that has recently become available on the team at Taussig Cancer Center. We work in underserved communities throughout the greater Cleveland area to reduce cancer disparities and help dissolve health inequities. We do this by improving access to cancer screenings, such as mammograms and colonoscopies, providing preventative services, such as HPV vaccines or smoking cessation, and increasing education around cancer.

Our team consists of several Program Managers that work to establish partnerships and referral sources in our dedicated region, as well as in particular population, such as BIPOC, Hispanic, rural, and/or LGBTQ+ communities. Additionally, our team consists of Patient Navigators that work together as a group and individually with their assigned PM.

Patient Navigators are the real backbone of our outreach programs; breaking down all sorts of barriers to care for patients, helping to organize community clinics, and educating / engaging community members. We are so excited to bring on a Patient Navigator who will do all this in Zone 4 (Detroit-Shoreway, Gordon Square, Lakewood, Kamm's Corner, Cudell neighborhoods) and in LGBTQ+ spaces!

We are looking for candidates who feel comfortable working in our community; preferably someone who has had experience with LGBTQ+ health/community initiatives. Someone who is experienced in working with EMRs (electronic medical records) is also preferred. Ideally, this candidate will be looking for upward mobility in their career, as our team continues to grow. Please note, this is a lay navigator role; clinical experience is not necessary.

If this sounds like the perfect role for you or someone you know, please forward the link below and share this opportunity! Please apply by 10/21.
