Save the Date! The CSSA is proud to sponsor John Carroll’s first Nonprofit Networking Event. On October 22nd, from 4-6pm, please join us in the Dolan Science Center Atrium where representatives from 20+ nonprofit organizations (many service-learning partners of the CSSA) from the Cleveland community will be tabling and ready to talk to students about the work they do to promote conditions for their community. Worried about networking? Career Services will be holding a how to network presentation that day at 3:30pm for anyone who is interested. Whether you’re interested in working for a nonprofit or simply curious about volunteer opportunities, come stop by and make connections for your future!

For today’s take over, Clare!

I’m so excited to be spending my summer in Cleveland! This summer I’ll be interning at the Fatima Family Center, where I’ll have the opportunity to work with an organization that serves the Hough community through educational programs, recreational activities, community events, and supportive services for people of all ages. As a Sociology and Criminology major with minors in Peace, Justice & Human Rights and Law & Society, I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learned in the classroom while gaining hands-on experience. I’m especially excited to experience a Cleveland summer for the first time and can’t wait to see what this opportunity brings!
